Ian stands in front of me completely smiling a triumphant smile, “I love to hear you come baby.”  He says smirking.

I try to control my breathing and I don’t think I can move.  Ian lies beside me in bed and swings my torn panties in his finger, “we need to get you more of these.”  He says teasing.

Dinner is going fabulous.  Ian is as charming as ever with everyone.  My brothers are taking to him right away, they talk politics, sports and my brothers are on Ian’s every word.  I’ve never seen my brothers being so friendly to any of my boyfriends.  Although I didn’t have many to be honest, okay maybe three.  I roll my eyes at the thought.  I guess my mom is right I never had any time for boyfriends or for friends for that matter.  My business takes plenty of my time and my strength.  I’m surprised I’m neglecting it right now.  I guess Ian has kept me occupied.  I smile at the thought.

“So Ian what is it that you do?”  My mom asks.

“Oh I thought Eliana told you, I’m an Actor.”  He says half smiling and taking a sip of tea.

Everyone in the table is stunned.  My sister is the only one with a big grin in her face.

“No, I hadn’t had a chance to tell them.”  I murmur taking a sip of tea right away.

My brother Brian is the first one to talk, “so are you any good?”  He asks raising his eyebrow.

My sister than laughs and everyone turns to look at her, she stops and swallows hard, “Any good?  Are you kidding me?  He is the best Actor in the world right now.”  She says excited and everyone jolts to look at Ian.

“I wouldn’t say that, I’m just a regular guy trying to make a living.”  He says modestly.

Everyone stays quiet for a minute or two and I interrupt, “who wants some dessert?”  I say loudly.

Everyone gestures for some dessert and quickly everything goes back to normal.  I feel so bad that I didn’t mention what Ian did to my family.  My mom and my sister join me in the kitchen to fetch dessert and coffee.

“Sweetie, I thought Ian was just a regular guy, good looking but regular.”  My mom says stunned.

I look at my mom, “he is a regular guy mom.”  I say reassuringly.

“You know what I mean Eliana.  Why didn’t you tell me he was an actor?”  She asks.

“Mom, not only an Actor, but an extremely famous Actor,” My sister adds.

I nudge my sister and press my lips together, “Thanks sis.”  I murmur.

“Mom, this doesn’t change anything, he is just a regular guy.”  I explain.

“Does he live here?”  She asks.

I start to grab the plates for the mango cake I baked for Ian, “No actually he lives in Los Angeles and in Atlanta for work.”  I say not meeting her eyes.  I try to move around trying to clean the mess in the kitchen as she continues.

“So he doesn’t live here and he’s a famous Actor.  How is your relationship to him going to work?”  She asks worried.

I turn around to look at her now, “I don’t know, but all I know is that I love him.”  I say surprising my sister and my mom and to be honest surprising me too.

“You love him?”  They both ask at the same time.

“Yes, yes I love him,” I suddenly feel queasy, I start to hyperventilate and my mom and my sister come to my side concerned.  I ease their fear by laughing, “I do love him.”  I say laughing.

“You scared me,” my sister laughs with me.

“Sweetie I’m really happy to see you happy but I don’t want you getting hurt.  It is clear to me that you love him and although his intentions look to be admirable.  I can’t help but worry about the outcome.”  She says hugging me.

I squeeze her tight, “mom I know your worried but don’t be.  I’m living a fairy tale with my very own prince charming, please let me enjoy this time with him.   Even if it’s just a short time and even if I don’t get my happy ending.”  I say.
