CHAPTER 9

CHAPTER NINE

I'm seven month's now, I can't believe how fast time has passed.  We have been very busy planning the wedding.  Ian has been coming back and forth from Atlanta.  We've decided to have the wedding here since I can't travel.  One month from now I will be Mrs. Eliana Somerhalder.  Ian feels terrible that we won't have a proper honeymoon.  I can't travel being so close to my due date.  To be honest I'm happy to spend time with him where ever it may be.  My only sad note is that Robert hasn't called me or returned my calls.  I really miss him, we've gotten so close the past six months.  I will never forget all that he did for me and the baby when Ian wasn't around.

I'm at home getting ready for Ian's family to arrive today from Louisiana.  I'm finally going to meet them all in person.  I talked with all of them on the phone but it's not the same thing.  I'm nervous and excited at the same time, I hope they like me.

I am cooking for my new family, a special dinner for tonight.  My family and he's are all coming for dinner.  My mom and sister said they would arrive early to help me cook.

"Baby, what are you thinking about?"  Ian grabs me from behind and kisses my shoulder while caressing my pregnant belly.

"I'm just thinking I hope your family likes me."  I smile nervously.

"They will love you, don't worry baby."  He murmurs into my neck.

I turn around to hug him, "I just really want to make a good impression on them.  I hope they like my cooking."  I whisper into his chest.  He smells so good, I don't think I'll ever get used to his wonderful smell.

"I'm sure they'll love anything you make for them.  How is the baby doing today?"  He asks while kissing my big stomach.

"His restless, he has been moving a lot today."  I say.

"Baby, you need to stay still for mommy, I think she's going through enough today."  He whispers into my belly.  He has a wide smile he takes my breath away when he smiles like that.  Can't he be any more beautiful?  My breathtakingly beautiful man and he is all mine in a month.

I smile at the thought, "Babe, you need to go and get ready.  You are picking them up from the airport at six?"  I ask.

"Yes, they said at six.  Okay I'm going to take a shower," he says as he takes off his shirt in front of me.

He knows exactly what he's doing to me.  He is simply perfect.  The contours of his perfect body call out to me.

Interrupting my thoughts was the sound of a knock at the door.  "I'm coming," I say as I motion Ian to go to the bathroom, he laughs and heads to the bathroom.

I open the door, "Hi, sorry we're late but traffic was bad."  My mom says as she hugs me.

"Hey sis, we are going to change here since we don't have enough time to go back home.  Our brother's will be here at six o'clock."  She explains.  She has my mother's and her clothes in hangers and leads them into one of our guestrooms.

"Ian is taking a shower and he'll be picking up his family at six.  Hopefully we'll have everything done by then."  I murmur.

"Sweetheart you need to relax, everything will be perfect.  They will love you I'm sure of it."  My mom says reassuringly.  She is always a comfort to me.

Everyone is enjoying the Sea Food Gumbo.  Its Ian's favorite dish and he's mom was kind enough to send me the recipe.  His family is amazing.  I don't know why I was so nervous.  I look around the table and see how everyone is getting along and talking and laughing.  It brings a wide smile to my face knowing that our families really do like each other.  My mother in law is an angel.  She's really excited about the baby.  We told them we were naming him Ian Joseph Somerhalder, they were all very happy.
