Crazy in Love

Prologue

Ryujin's POV

Today is the day I've been dreading for what seems like forever, the day I move to Seoul, South Korea. I'm moving away from all my friends and family, which upset me the more I thought about it. I keep overthinking, what if I don't make any friends, or what if people hate me. Little did I know, in the end moving was the best decision I ever made.

I finish packing my stuff and just as I do, I hear my mom call me "Ryujin! Are you packed? We need to leave in five minutes!"

Perfect timing. "Yeah, I just finished!" I shout as I start grabbing my bags.

We had finally reached the airport and made it just on time to board the plane. As I walked down the aisle looking for my seat I realized I had to sit in between my parents. Great, this is going to be a long trip. After we took off, my mom decided it would be a good idea to bring up the move. "Ryu, aren't you excited?"

When she asked that, I rolled my eyes to the side and decided to answer. "I guess so, What if I don't make any friends?"

She looked at me and put a hand on my shoulder, I shrugged it off as she spoke "Of course you'll make friends, Ryu. I know you don't want to leave everything behind, but you do understand why we're moving, right?"

I sigh, knowing I'm doing this for my father, he is the reason for us moving to Korea. "Yes, I do, and I'll try my best to make friends."

After we talked for a while, I decided to lay my head back on my seat to have a small nap. I have a long flight ahead of me.

After our flight, we had got our cab to take us to our new home.

"We're here!" The cab driver stopped as I looked out the window to admire our new home. I stepped out of the cab, grabbed as many bags as I could carry and entered through the front door, my eyes lit up as I saw how beautiful this house was.

My mom seemed to notice how excited I was and walked over to me "Well, isn't it nice? I told you it wouldn't be so bad. Why don't you go have a look upstairs and see what room catches your eye?"

Without hesitation, I drop the bags and head upstairs to start searching for my room. As I walked down the hallway looking in each room, I couldn't decide. I could picture myself in all of them until it came to the last room. It was perfect and completely what I imagined my room would be.

I rushed back downstairs and grabbed my bags, heading up to my room once again. I threw all my bags to the ground and dug through them, looking for my lock. I enjoy privacy and my mother doesn't seem to understand it, so I keep my room locked at all times.

Eventually, after getting my room set up, I was exhausted, so I decided to call it a night and go to sleep. I have my first day of school tomorrow after all, and I need to prepare myself for what's to come.

~~~~~The Next Day~~~~~

My eyes burst open from the sound of my alarm, I reach to the side and grab my phone, pressing the off button. When I checked the time it was 7:00 in the morning. I groan knowing it's my first day of the new school. Slowly, I got up to get dressed, and my mother shouted from the kitchen "Ryujin! Are you awake yet? You need time to eat!"

I head down to the kitchen to see bacon and eggs sitting out on the table, and after finishing my plate I could feel my nerves settling down. My mother cleaned my plate for me, shooing me off to school before I was late.

Finally, I made it to school. I thought about things a lot on my walk here, and now I'm not even nervous. Navigating my way around was a bit difficult, but eventually, I found the office. I was about to knock when a girl walked out, I didn't get to see her face but briefly, I saw her long, dark red hair, she smelt like cherry blossoms. After staring for a few moments I hear a faint voice in the background. I was startled to hear someone's voice as I realized I zoned out.

"Ah! You must be Ms.Shin, It's lovely to meet you and welcome MAA"

This was slightly embarrassing, I just zoned out in front of what I assume is the Principal. "Oh, thank you. I'm glad to be here."

"Perfect, now come have a seat at my desk and I'll get your timetable, and fill you in on a few school rules." Once he finished talking I followed him and he gestured me to sit in a chair, which faced right at him. I was slightly uncomfortable but I didn't show it.

"Alrighty, here is your schedule, hopefully, it isn't too confusing. Oh! And allow me to introduce myself, I'm Mr. Park, your Principal."

"Now I must fill you in on the strict rules we have here at MAA. Violence is not acceptable anywhere on the school premises, if you have an issue, you talk to the guidance counsellor. Second, you must stick to one club, and when you're in a club you must show respect to the leader. Lastly, no bullying"

This sounds like every other school, no violence, no bullying it's nothing new but it's easy to follow, I'm not a violent person and never will be.

" I think that's everything you need to know, if you have any questions feel free to ask me or the guidance counselor." After he was done explaining, he got up and went to the door, opening it for me to leave, so I followed and exited the office. I took a walk around the school checking out the different clubs. I was unsure of what I might like to join, like the photography club, or the writing club. All of these clubs weren't catching my eye, maybe I won't join a club at all, well that's what I thought until I came across one club to be specific. The dance club.

When I got to the dance room, I peeked in and saw three girls, they looked like they were warming up. A fourth girl was leading the warm-up, I assumed it was the club leader, so I made my way in more. Everything was fine, I was approaching the group until one of the girls turned to face me. It was her. The girl I saw earlier, and she was beautiful. Our eyes locked and I felt something strange inside me. What is this strange feeling, is it love?
