Promise (Power Rangers Time Force Lucas)

As Alex sat in the drivers seat, he turned to his right and saw Tessa walking his way with the cups of coffee. He unlocked the door and let it automatically open up for her. "Hello, white ranger." He greeted.

"Hello, red ranger." She takes a seat in the car and let the door close on its own, then handing him his cup of coffee as he began to drive off. "Still feels kinda weird heading that." She said.

"Have you told Lucas?" Alex asked.

"Not yet, I'm going to wait till he comes back home. Have you heard from Jen?" She asked. Alex shook his head. "I haven't heard anything from Lucas either."

"I'm sure they're fine."

"I hope so. So tell me, why did you suddenly pop the question yesterday?" She asked.

The alarms in that car suddenly began going off. "All units, to the prison." The voice through the intercom said.

"On our way." Alex spoke. He turned back to Tessa and smiled. "Was it not obvious? Because I love her."

The two reached the prison and parked the car. The got out and began making theirs way towards the building. "Let's split up. I'll go up to the roof. You keep looking inside." Alex said.

"Got it."

While Alex ran up to the roof, Tessa continued looking around the building. But she couldn't find anything. "Looks like I still have someone to take care of."

Tessa quickly turned around and spotted the robotic mutant standing behind her. She threw a kick at him, but he quickly blocked and took a step back. "We'll aren't you feisty. Looks like I'll need some back up." Frax called out to all the cyclobots, having them surround the girl. "What are you going to do now?" He asked smugly.

Tessa scoffed and stood up straight. "Time for Time Force!"

She quickly morphed into her ranger suit, fighting off as many of the cyclobots as she could. And while distracted with that, she haven't realized Frax coming up behind her with a sword.

He raised it high up the in the air and slashed her. She groaned in pain as she fell to the floor, demorphing out of the suit and into her regular work attire. "I would help, but I don't very much care for you. I wish you luck from here in out." Frax laughed out loud as he walked away.

All the cyclobots disappeared, leaving Tessa in the room all alone. The pain was nothing she ever felt in her life. It hurt badly. She couldn't even move. She was slowly losing her energy. "Lucas." She muttered. "Help."

While both Alex and Ransik continued fighting it off on the roof. The group quickly tried making their way up.

Ransik pulled a sword out from his back, then holding it high up in the air.

The group reached the top of the building. "Alex!" Jen shouted.

"Jen!" He called out.

Ransik let out an evil laugh. He slightly pushed Alex out of the way, then taking advantage of the distracting, he struck Alex in his back.

The group watched as he fell to the floor. "No!" Jen yelled.

Ransik laughed evilly before disappearing in the air. Jen and the others ran over to the boy on the floor. "Alex. Alex." Jen panicked.

"Take my morpher." Alex coughed out. He took it off and handed it to Jen. "There's four more in the time ship. It's the only way you'll ever stop Ransik."

Jen shook her head. "No, I can't." She cried.

"You can." Alex groaned. "Promise me you won't stop, no matter what until you capture him. Promise?"

"I promise I'll catch him." Jen cried.

Alex lifted up his hand and wiped a few tears away. "You and me."

"Forever." Jen finished.

His hand suddenly dropped, and it was then that they realized he was now gone. Paramedics came quickly, pushing Jen out of the way and walking to Alex.

"We're going after them."

"But they went through town whole." Katie said.

"There's no way we can catch them now."

"Oh yes there is." Jen said aggressively.

"But how? We don't have the power to do that." Trip asked as they made their way down the stairs.

"There's four more morphers on the time ship. We're taking that to follow Ransik." Jen explained.

"We can't do that. We were fired. We'll get in trouble. We'll get arrested." Trip panicked.

"I promised Alex that I'd capture Ransik. And I'm keeping it."

As they continued to make their way down the steps, the walked down the hall where they found a a random crowd. They walked over and watched as paramedics surrounded the body. "What's going on?" Katie asked.

"Tessa!" Lucas shouted. He pushed his way through the crowd and then through the paramedics. He lifted the girl into his arms, terror washing over him. "How?" He asked.

Even in a moment like this, she could help but scoffs. "Seems like you didn't keep that promise of yours." She joked, pointing to his scratches.

"You can't joke around at a time like this! Let's get you out of here!"

"Lucas."

"We'll get you to a bed, safe and sound. You'll be okay. You'll-"

"Lucas." Tessa coughed out. She took off her morpher and handed it to him. "I was going to surprise you with it, but seems like that was ruined." She said.

"No. No. No. You can't be serious about this. You're going to make it. You-"

"Lucas. Can you promise me something?" She asked.

Tears began spilling out. He wasn't the type to cry. Everyone knew that. Tessa was sure this was the first time she'd see him like this. And possibly her last. "What is it?" He asked.

"Do whatever it takes to save everyone. Save the world. Save the future. For me. Promise?" She held out he pinky.

Lucas linked her pinky with hers. "I promise." He cried. She brought his hand up to her lips, placing a small kiss to his knuckles. Her grip on his hand suddenly loosened. He watched her hand drop to the floor.

He froze up. She was gone. Forever. He lost the love of his life. And he would never be able to see her again.

Paramedics pushed their way through as his friends pulled Lucas back up. "Let's go." He said.

"You too?" Trip asked.

"I'm keeping that promise. We're going to save the future. And I'm doing it for her."

They made their way into the time ship. Trip looked around confused, then over to Jen. "Jen, we don't even know how to drive this thing."

Jen turned to the other boy. "Lucas can drive anything."

Lucas gave her a sly smile. "Give me a hand circuit."

"I thought you'd never ask." He flew into the air and to the center of the table. "We're secure and ready to launch."

The time ship took off. This is where their new journey would now begin. Back in time to save the world. But for Jen and Lucas, it was to bring justice to the ones they had just lost. A promise that the two were sure to keep no matter what.
