Promise (Power Rangers Time Force Lucas)

Lucas held onto the morpher tightly. He wondered why he never knew about it. Perhaps Tessa was keeping it as a surprise. He blamed himself for what happened to her. If only he had kept on driving. If only he had made it back sooner. If he were there long before, he wouldn't be in this situation.

He heard footsteps walking over to him. He turned around a saw Katie standing behind him. "What do you want?" He asked.

"You're thinking of her, aren't you?" She asked.

"I always am. It's my fault she's gone. And I'll never be able to get her back. The only thing I have of her is this morpher. And I'm going to keep it safe. No one else can have it." Lucas said.

Katie took a seat right next to him. "I don't think she'd want you mourning over her. She'd want you to move on."

"We'll I'm not. I don't plan to."

"And what if it were the other way around? What if she were in your position? Would you want her to be happy, or to mourn?" Katie asked.

Lucas sighed and leaned his head back. "I'd want her to be happy of course." He said.

"And she'd want that for you too." Katie said. She grabbed his hand and held it tightly. "You'll never forget her, no doubt about it. But moving on is the best option right now. Especially if you want to bring her justice."

She let go of his hand and stood up, walking back over to trip. Lucas looked back down at the morpher and sighed. Now all he could think about was Sam.

It broke his heart just looking at her. There was no way he could move on with her around. All she'd ever do was remind him of Tessa. Anything she'd do, he would think of her.

They all heard footsteps walking their way. They all looked up and saw both Wes and Sam walking towards them. Just his luck. "Jen." Wes said.

"What do you want?" She asked angrily.

"You were right. I've never had to fight for anything in my life. But now I have something to fight for." He said. "I know about Alex."

Jen turned around towards Trip and sent him a deadly glare. He gave her an awkward smile before hiding behind a debris of the ship. "And unless we stop Ransik neither of us will have a future. Please, let us help you." He begged.

Lucas looked over at the two, his eyes landing on Sam. He couldn't lie, she looked gorgeous in that dress. And she looked so cute holding her shoes in her hand.

"Rangers, we got trouble." Circuit called out.

Trip then ran over to the three. "Circuits picking up signs of mutant DNA at the harbor." Trip said.

They all looked back to Wes and Sam. Jen stepped forward, and took the morpher out of her pocket. "One more chance." She said before tossing it over to him

Wes threw her a smile before putting it on his wrists and the five of them morphing into their ranger suits. Sam couldn't help but smile at him. "Ready." He said.

"Let's do it."

Lucas walked over to Sam and held out the morpher. Sam looked up at him in confusion. "Take it." He said.

"Are you sure?" She asked.

Lucas nodded his head. Sam smiled brightly at him before taking it and putting it on her wrist and morphing. That smile could light up the whole world if it could. "Thanks."

"No problem." Lucas said, patting her shoulder. And for some reason, Sam felt so comforted from his touch.

"Ready!" She exclaimed.

"Time to use the time jet." Trip ran over to the box and pulled out what looked to be like a small drone. But it suddenly flew into the air and turned into a giant jet.

"Wow." Sam said in amazement.

"Supersonic speed will get you anywhere, fast."

Lucas held Sam tightly before jumping onto the Jet and flying in the air. "Thanks." She said again.

"Anytime."

After defeating the giant mutant and turning him him back into his smaller form. They captured and out him into a small capsule. After, they unmorphed.

"There's one down." Jen said.

Wes stepped forward. "Glad you captured this guy." He said.

"You mean, We, captured him. We couldn't have done it without you." Katie corrected.

Both him and Sam took off their morphers and handed it to the original owners. "No, keep it." Jen said.

"Really?" Wes asked.

"Yeah. You earned it. Besides, we need you." Jen said.

Lucas turned to Sam and placed the morpher back in her hands. "Are you sure about this?" She asked.

"Yeah, I'm sure." He said, giving her a small smile.

"Thank you." She smiled.

"Looks like we got a red and white ranger." Katie squealed, pulling Wes into a large hug.

"Whoa, Katie. Katie. Katie. Katie." He yelped.

Trip ran over to Sam and gave her a ginormous hug. Sam turned back to Lucas with a huge smile. "Thank you again. We won't let you down."

Lucas let out a small chuckle. "I know."

Sam suddenly looked panicked, then running over to Wes. "Wes, the meeting!"

"Forget about it. I'll handle it. I always do." Wes said.

"I better not get in any trouble for this." Sam groaned.

"Please, like you wanted to stay in that meeting. You're turning into such a bad girl. I really am rubbing off onto you." He said with a cocky expression.

"You really are a tease, aren't you?" She questioned, pulling onto his ear.

"Hey, hey. That hurts." Wes began slapping her hands away. But she was quick to fight back. He might be a lot bigger and stronger, but he would forever loose to her.

"They make quite a cute couple." Trip smiled.

"They are, aren't they." Katie agreed.

"Couple?" Lucas questioned.

They all watched the two argue with each other. Which ended up with Wes chasing Sam around. Then the others ended up joining right after.

They couldn't be happier. But this was only the start to their now difficult journey. One they would never forget.
