Here's today's update. Will be updating tomorrow too. Enjoy :)
While breakfast was being made, Wes' alarm suddenly went off. They all looked up as he began to move around. He turned off the alarm, but fell down in the process. "Morning sunshine." Sam laughed.
"That's gonna leave a mark."
Trip and Katie quickly ran over looking concerned, then watched him stand back up from the floor. Both Lucas and Sam tried to hold in their laugh. "Why are you guys up so early?" Wes asked.
"It's not early, Wes." Lucas said confused. Sam couldn't help but watch him as he kept trying to fix his hair.
"Where's Jen?" Wes asked.
"Training, as usual." Katie answered.
"Let me get dressed for the day. I'll be back later." He said.
"See ya." Sam waved off.
A while after Wes left, they all began doing their own thing. Lucas, for some reason, was still looking at himself in the mirror. Sam cracked a smile. Seeing at how easily distracted he was, she took this opportunity to continue sketching him.
"Hey, what's this?" Trip asked.
Everyone turned towards the boy and found him playing around with a stereo. "That's a stereo." Sam answered. "You play music on it."
"How do you use it?" Katie asked.
"We'll this ones much older than the ones we have today. Usually it's a disk nowadays, but we used tapes." Sam said, pulling a tape out of the box.
"I thought those were only for cassette's?" Lucas asked.
"They're for both cassettes and a stereo." Sam put in the tape and began playing the music. Lucas bopped his head while Katie grabbed Trip's arm and spun him around.
"Too fast, Katie! Too fast!" He yelped. Sam couldn't help but laugh.
Lucas put down the mirror and sat down next to Sam. "Why don't you go and dance?" She asked.
"I'm not a dancer." He said.
"Come on, just for a little bit. With me at least?"
Lucas just stared at her, but cracked a smile and grabbed her hand. "Fine." Sam jumped around a bit. She pulled him up and he began spinning her around.
Katie and trip both stopped what they were doing and watched the two have fun. It was weird to see Lucas this way. He never thought dancing was fun. He hated it. But he seemed to be having so much fun.
But it also felt weird seeing Tessa's face with a whole different personality. Katie remembered all those times Tessa was around. Katie would want to go out and have fun, hang out with the others outside of work. But Tessa never wanted to. She was a lot more serious. She would've rather stay at work and get things done than be with her friends. Even at home, all she ever thought about was work. Compared to Sam, Tessa took everything very seriously. But Sam was so carefree. Katie liked that about her.
Lucas spun her around once more before grabbing her waist and lifting her up in the air. "Whoa." She yelped. But she just laughed. He brought her back down but she stumbled into his chest. "Sorry." She apologized.
"It's no problem."
The two wouldn't look away, they just kept smiling. The music suddenly stopped playing. Sam pulled away and walked over to the stereo, taking out the tape.
"Is it broken?" Trip asked.
Sam smiled at him. "No, the song just ended. Meaning we just need to flip it the other way." Sam assured.
