Katie came back with different drinks for everyone. When handing it to Sam, she took a small sniff of the cup and then handed it to Wes. "Don't like coffee?" Trip asked.

Sam shook her head. "I don't like the way it tastes." Sam said.

"Sorry, I wish I knew before I bought it." Katie pouted.

"That's alright. I can just make tea upstairs. Plus, I'll have to leave soon." Sam said.

"Tutoring?" Lucas asked. Sam nodded her head.

"Well while you're out doing that, here are your odd jobs for the day." Jen said, handing the boys a small papers.

"So what are you gonna do?" Wes asked.

"Somebody has to stay here and answer the phone." Jen said, walking back to the counter.

"Now why does she always get to answer the phone?" Wes complained.

"You can continue complaining. I'm going to head out for now." Sam said.

"I'll come with you." Lucas offered.

The two walked out the tower, letting everyone else clean the rest of the place before they left. "Now that you aren't planning to work for Bio Synth, are you hoping to possibly be a teacher again?" Lucas asked.

Sam shrugged her shoulders. "I'm not sure honestly. Maybe I will, but it'll take some time. But for now, I'm just going to stick with being a ranger, and my work. Nothing else matters right now."

"How are things working out for you and Eric?" Lucas asked.

Sam let out a small sigh. "Everything's okay. It's still bit awkward. But thins are slightly getting better. I think I'm still having bit of trouble trusting him." Sam said.

"I'm sure things will get better." Lucas said.

"I hope so." Sam muttered.

While washing onc car, Lucas couldn't help but notice that someone was having trouble turning theirs on. The girl got out of the car and walked to the front, hoping to open the hood of the car. "Need a hand?" He asked.

"I'd love one. I can't even get the hood open." Angelique said.

"Well for starters, the engines back here." Lucas said, pointing to the back of the car. Angelique laughed it off awkwardly. "I'll take a look."

Lucas popped open the back and quickly fixed the problem of the car. She turned the car back on and it started working again. "Wow! Thank you!"

"It's no problem. Have a good day." Lucas waved off, walking back to his car.

"Now, hold on a sec." She called out. Lucas turned around confused. "I want to thank you for what you did. How about I take you out for a meal?" She asked.

Lucas shook his head. "Don't worry about it. I'm just doing my job. See ya." He waved off again."

"But I know this really nice restaurant right across town." She kept bugging.

"Look, I know what you're trying to do, and it's not working. Plus, I've already got someone else I like."

As he turned around, Angelique rolled her eyes and used her mutant power against him. The trance worked. He completely forgot about Tessa once he turned around and faced the mutant girl. "I think I'm going crazy. I'll definitely go out with you." He smiled.

"Great!" She exclaimed. She stuck her hand out and smiled to Lucas. "Angelique." She greeted.

"Lucas." He smile back, shaking her hands.
