Sam wasn't even able to sleep that night. She tossed and turned all night, only thing she was able to hear was the sound of the wind from outside.

She finally gave up on trying. Sam sat up and looked around. She noticed a small light shining through the crack on the floor. Confused, she stood up and slowly walked to the stairs, but stopped when she heard their voices. "What are you guys doing up?" Wes asked.

"We've made a decision, we're not going back in the Time Ship." Jen answered.

"What!?" Wes questioned. "But you have to. Alex said-"

"If you could make your own destiny, then so could we." Trip interrupted.

"We're gonna stay and fight...Together."

"We're a team, Wes, no matter what happens." Jen said.

Sam could feel tears sliding down her cheek. She so badly wanted them to stay, but not for this reason. They had to go, no matter what.

Both Sam and Wes watched from above as the others began putting the captured mutants into boxes. The only ones that seemed bothered with them staying were the two of them. "We have to get them out of here." Sam whispered.

"I know, but how?" Wes whispered.

"I'm not sure myself." Sam scoffed. She began to nervously play with her fingers. "But we have to find a way."

The two stood up and walked back down. "Jen..." Wes called out. The others stopped what they were doing and turned to him. "If you don't mind, we'll meet you guys at the ship. There's something I need to do."

Jen nodded her head. "Sure."

The two began walking down the stairs. "Where are we going?" Sa asked.

"I'm going to talk with my dad." Wes said. He stopped in his tracks and turned to Sam. "And I recommend that you talk to Eric."

Sam nodded her head and sighed. "Yeah, you're right."

While cleaning the house, he was able to see a motorcycle stop and park outside his house. Confused, he looked behind the curtain and saw Sam getting off. She questioned why she was here.

Wes left, and Sam began walking up to the door. Before she could knock, Eric opened it up. "What are you doing here?" He asked.

"Just came to say hi." She smiled innocently. Still confused, he knew something was wrong, but he couldn't even tell that her smile was all a lie.

"Did you want to come in?" He asked.

Sam shook her head. "I just wanted to talk for a bit. If it's alright with you, mind if we just talk out here?" She asked. Eric nodded his head.

He closed the door behind him and the two sat down on the steps. "What is it you wanted to talk about?" He asked.

Sam let out a sigh. "You know I love you, right?"

Eric took a deep breath. "I love you too." He said.

"When you left, it was the hardest thing for me. We just lost mom and dad, then I lost you." She said. Eric clenched his fist. He was still angry at himself for that. "But I dot resent you for it."

Eric gave her a questioning look. "What?"

Sam smiled at him. "If anything, I'm happy for you. I'm happy that you were able to do your own thing, and follow your own path. And I know you hate yourself for what you did, but just know that I'll always be proud of you."

"Why are you saying all this?" He asked.

"I just need to tell you is all." She lied. "Can you make me a promise?" She asked.

"Anything." Eric answered.

Sam looked up at the sky, then back at him. "Promise me that no matter what, you won't do anything stupid in the next few days that'll get you hurt."

Eric let out a scoff. "And why would I do that?" He questioned.

"You're my brother. I know you better than anyone." Sam smiled. She lifted up her hand and held out her pinky. "Promise?"

Eric nodded his head, linking his pinky with hers. "Promise."

"You better keep that." Sam said. She looked at the time on her watch and stood up. "I have to get going. But I'll see you later."

"Stay safe."

"Will do." Sam smiled.

She began walking away, leaving Eric completely confused. He wasn't sure what all that was about. But he knew that if he asked, she wasn't going to say anything. He could only wish that things were alright.

"So how's everything going?" Wes asked as he walked into the ship.

"Oh, we almost got all of them loaded up." Trip answered. He closed the book he was reading and put it back in it's original place.

Wes and Sam couldn't help but to notice the cover. Then they noticed a certain button on the ship reading "AUTO PILOT". The two looked at each other, and nodded their heads.

Lucas turned towards the two, realizing how they were suddenly pretty quiet. Sam had a saddened expression over herself. He wanted to question her, but he kept to himself, brushing his senses away and assuming she was alright.

"Rangers, the attack is beginning." Circuit warned.

"Let's go." Jen said.

And they all rushed out the door. But Sam and Wes stayed. They turned around and went for the book. "I'm guessing we both have the same idea." Sam assumed.

"You're right about that." Wes said as he flipped through the book. Then, he found it. the page with the instructions to auto pilot the ship.

"We can finally get them back home."
