"Give it up for Queen Moremi House, the lodge of the wealthiest students in BHS," The MC screamed, and Queen Moremi House marchers filled the field in an arranged manner. The cheerleaders were in front first, then the flag bearers. The marchers followed, then the royalty. Adewusi Miracle was the princess, and Durotoye Emeka was the prince. They both held hands and walked gingerly the way they were taught. Dunmininu and Jesugbemi followed. The screams became louder because nobody had seen their outfit before the parade, and now, everyone was so jealous of them.

Dunmininu looked back, and he readjusted Gbemi's crown, and the crowd went wild again. He held her hand before delivering a soft kiss on her gloved hand. Gbemi readjusted her fur jacket just like Melinda had taught her the previous night before she walked to the high table to drop her bouquet. The chairman picked the bouquet, smelling it before he sighed contently. Gbemi walked back to her former place, and she smiled as the flower girls sprayed the shiny particles over her.

They resumed marching, and they continued to the end of the field while the claps and the screams accompanied them. They intentionally waited to be the last house, and the way the crowd cheered them on made them realize their effect on the public. When they got to the dressing room, they started hailing themselves, and their housemaster smiled at them in satisfaction. He concurred with the fact that they were excellent too.

Ojelade Micheal rushed in with video footage of their match on the phone, and before you know it, everyone gathered around him to see their performance. Dunmininu smiled at the way Gbemi looked more impressive than he thought. Someone talked about how Dunmininu was doting on Gbemi throughout the match, and he smiled. The person was honest, and he couldn't take his eyes off Gbemi the whole time.

They wanted to change their outfits, and their housemistress, Mammie, refused. She insisted that she had a feeling they were going to win, and she wanted them to bring the cup home, still dressed in their regal outfit. They took a stroll while other activities were going on, and they ended up on the remedial block. The whole place was silent, and they were the only ones around since everyone was on the field for the competition.

"Gbemi, fifteen years from now, I wish you'd still be the one pushing my buttons. I don't know how to explain this feeling, but I see my future with you in it," Dunmininu said, and Gbemi went silent for a while before she burst into laughter. Dunmininu stared at her as if she grew extra horns, and Gbemi kept on laughing till he was irritated. He turned around to walk away, but Gbemi caught his hand, and she tried to stop laughing, but she was unsuccessful.

"Mr. Joseph the dreamer. E remain coat of many colors for your career to be complete. Shengbo werey," Gbemi replied before she continued laughing again. Hurt crossed his face before he masked it with a smile, but Gbemi saw it. She pulled him closer, and she closed her eyes tight to prevent another laugh from escaping her mouth. Dunmininu smiled at how adorable she looked while trying not to laugh.

"You can laugh all you want; you already told me what you think on Saturday night when we got back from the party," Dunmininu said, and Gbemi stared at him, trying to remember what she said after the party. All she remembered was trying out the apple vodka and waking up the next morning clinging to Dunmininu as her life depended on it. She sighed because this was the third time he was bringing it up and not telling her about it.

****FLASHBACK****

Gbemi took a slow sip of her apple vodka, and she looked at Dunmininu, whose face was screaming No, but his friend Toluwanimi who doubled up as her hypeman, kept on egging her on. She took a deep breath as she brought the shot glass near her mouth and the konk smell of alcohol hit her nose, the fact that the scent of the apple was evident too.

"Gbemi, you can do this. A whole Jesugbemi. Even bros J no go vex for him favorite baby this night. Gulp this thing once my guy" Toluwanimi hailed her, and she did exactly as he advised. She shouldn't have as the stinging sensation hit her throat, she felt like throwing up, but the sweet after-taste compensated her. Her mind wandered to what father would think if he knew she came to such a party, he would probably shake his head in disappointment slowly.

"Tonight, you are not pastor Ilesanmi's daughter. You're Gbemi, remove the Jesu in front and have fun." Nimi said gain before pressing another shot glass in her hand, and she took it without hesitation. Dunmininu stood up from their table, and he excused himself after warning Nimi not to get his babe drunk.  Two gulps turned into numerous glasses, and soon Gbemi was drinking straight from the bottle. Nimi was too lost wooing the girl he sat with to notice Gbemi had picked up the bottle and drinking straight from it.

Gbemi felt hot, and she decided to search for Dunmininu, maybe to get another bottle of vodka because she had finished the bottle. She staggered on her way up, and Nimi gave her a thumbs up. Gbemi strolled towards the exit, and she sauntered because the floor was spinning slowly.

She saw Dunmininu standing with a girl near the gate, and she saw them wrap hands around each other, and the alarms went off in her head. Her man wrapped his arms around another woman, and she screamed before staggering towards them. Dunmininu heard her scream, and he moved away from the lady and started walking fast towards her. When he got closer, she pushed him, but he held her closer, and he cursed under his breath as he noticed how her breath smelled of alcohol.

Nimi had one bloody job to look after Gbemi, and Dunmininu was sure he got carried away with flirting with a chick. Nimi never keeps a girl, small Cassanova. Influencer for the girls. Dunmininu led her inside before picking up the car keys and sending a quick message to the birthday boy that they had left. Good thing that the party happened right in their estate, and no one was around for now, or else; he was going to hear the story of his life. They got into the car, and He drove the car slowly because Gbemi fell asleep as soon as her head touched the headrest. He glanced at Gbemi, and he smiled at how cute she looked. His own woman.

When he carried her upstairs successfully, he removed the gown she was wearing leaving her in only her underwear and he wanted to go off the light when he heard her speak. "Dunmininu, you were hugging that girl. You wanted to sleep with her yeah". She asked slurrily and Dunmininu kept shut. He prayed she doesn't remember by tomorrow because there's no way to explain the position he was in with Amara.

"I love you too much and you keep on messing with me. I had high hopes for us and you keep on scattering everything at the peak. First, it was senior Tofunmi and now it's a random friend of yours. I don't deserve this. I love you too much to let you go but you keep on making me suffer." She added with a sniff and Dunmininu leaned on the wall. He waited for him to hear her breathing sounds before he finally switched off the light. Every one of her words got to him and he felt new, Gbemi still loved like before and he wasn't going to mess things up this time.

Please take this poll after reading this chapter.

The book has three chapters left and I needed your help to decide the next spin-off in this series. Please comment a heart in front of the one you prefer.

1. A spin-off with Gbemi in SS3 and her school daughter as the main character and her own story. Gbemi would be like an audience, It's going to be Josephine, our rebel's story.

2. A spin-off of their university life: Everyone has grown and there are wider choices for both of them. More real-life problems and dramas. They might or might not end up together.

Pliks comment so I can update.
