and then there were five?

The bounty was quiet. Everyone was at a loss for what to say or do. Zane was still motionless, and they had no idea how to reactivate him. The bounty was still destroyed as a result of the most recent attack, which brought the team to a screeching halt. Nya was working on the bounty to get the technology back up and running. The guys kept trying to patch up the gaping hole in the side left by the vines.

"You just had to go and land us in the desert, Nya?" yelled Jay from halfway across the ship.

"Well, I am sorry, Jay! Next time I will try and land it at a five-star resort!" she yelled back.

The group laughed. They were trying to find some amusement in their struggles, but it was difficult because they were incomplete. The boys went to the top in an attempt to assist Nya. They couldn't get the ship to fly without the technology. Nya was usually good at this kind of thing, but she was struggling right now. She was used to having Zane at least guide her a little, but he was useless at the moment.

Sensei Wu observed the team and attempted to contribute what he could, but he was not particularly skilled in technical matters. They all sat at the bow of the ship, trying to figure out what was going to happen next, which only distracted Nya even more.

"So Lloyd did your little day out yesterday give you a plan?" Kai said with a bit of an attitude. Lloyd knew it was just because he was frustrated so he did not take it personally.

"I have some ideas, but none of them will be useful unless we get this ship back up." They all knew he was right and went about their business. Kai looked back at Lloyd with a dejected expression on his face. Lloyd knew how much losing a team member had hurt him, so he knew this couldn't have been easy with two gone now. He knew how bad the incident with Morro affected him and now was only worse.

Their silence was short-lived because they heard a loud crash from where they had just left, and ran back to see what had happened. When they entered the room, they discovered tools scattered across the floor and Nya almost punching the wall next to the big screen. They weren't surprised because she was prone to these types of outbursts out of frustration.

"Nya, why don't we call someone to come help?" asked Kai.

"No! I want to do it," she exclaimed walking over to grab the wrench she had thrown earlier.

The team noticed that it was starting to get cold outside, which shouldn't have even started happening at this point because they were trapped in the desert. They looked out the window and noticed a few raindrops, then turned back around to Nya, who was about to have an outburst.

"Nya, it is okay we are going to find someone to help," said Jay trying to avoid a hurricane.

She nodded and went to work on something else, or perhaps take a short nap, she didn't know. Lloyd had an idea.

"I know just the person," said Lloyd, "I'll be right back."

He threw on his hood and dashed out the door before any of them could say anything

It took him a while to get back to Ninjago, but when he did, he found himself back outside the coffee shop. He knew the team would think he was crazy if he said anything before leaving, but he just knew she could help. He remembered her mentioning how she used to work with technology when she was younger, so he figured it couldn't hurt. He walked into the coffee shop and went straight to the counter to ask for her help.

"Hey green ninja, what are you doing here?" Sadie asked as he seemed a bit panicked.

"Hey Sadie, I need your help," he said.

"You need my help?" she asked, confused because she could not do that much to help him.

"You said you are good with technology, right?" he asked.

"I mean, I dabble, yeah," she responded.

"Okay, awesome. Is there any way you could come with me?" he asked.

"I get off in a half an hour. Does that work?" she asked.

"That's perfect. I will meet you outside then," he said.

A Half an Hour Later

Lloyd remained outside, and Sadie soon followed. He returned her to the bounty, kind of dreading the reaction he was about to receive.

"So are you going to tell me where we are going or am I just supposed to walk?" she asked.

"Well, our ship is not doing so hot and I thought you could help," he said back.

"That's a lot of pressure," she said.

"You've got it," he said.

They returned to the bounty, and he led her to what needed to be repaired. She began connecting wires and putting things together. Nya hadn't even come close to what she was doing. She had some screens back up and running in minutes. Lloyd knew Nya wouldn't be able to come up here just yet, or it might be a problem.

Too Late

Nya and Kai walk through the doorway, the screens have been turned back on. Kai remained happy and stunned, while Nya only had an irritated expression on her face.

"Thank you!" said Kai. "How did you do it?"

"I have had my fair share of having to fix things," she laughed and kept putting things together to get things running. Nya did not say a word. Jay and Sensei Wu have now shown up as well.

"Wow, you're awesome! Thank you!" said Jay. Nya shot him a dirty look.

"No problem," Sadie said back smiling.

"Sadie. Was it?" Said Sensei Wu.

"Yeah!" she responded.

"How about staying on the ship with us for a while and assisting with the technical side? With the loss of two of our team members, we could use your assistance." Wu stated. Everyone was taken aback, and Lloyd's face lit up with joy. Perhaps he'd be able to be himself around her for the first time.

"I would love to!" she said smiling even bigger now.

Lloyd and the team remained perplexed but content. Except for Nya, who sat in her corner, arms crossed.

"Welcome to the team!" said Wu. Everyone else clapped and walked over to talk to her.

Nya pulled Kai off to the side.

"How is he going to add someone to our team that quickly for something any of us can do? I do not trust her," said Nya.

"Lighten up Nya,  just because she did your job better than you, does not mean you are being replaced. Calm down and be happy for Lloyd. He likes her, you can tell," said Kai.

"Fine, I will try," She responded, although she did not know if she could keep this promise.
