The ninja tried to fight back, but the masked figure was just too strong and the vines too tight. Without weapons, they didn't have a chance.
"Why are you doing this?" asked Lloyd.
"Because I need someone else to feel my pain," the enemy said, still lurking in the darkness.
"Well, let us go, and let's settle this fairly," shouted Kai in remarks.
"Yeah, I'm sure Kai, the nice figure that captured us, is going to let us go just because you asked!" shouted Jay, who was now being held upside down by the vines.
"You are both still, in fact, not helping," said Zane, who just wanted to get a word in as well in their banter.
"Shut up," said the masked figure as they grew closer and the vines even tighter. The ninja all let out a yell of pain because they were now getting unbearable.
"You know what? I'm just kidding. I will let you go for a trade," they said back.
"A trade?" asked Lloyd from his now highly uncomfortable position, sideways on the ground.
"Yes, a trade, one of you for the rest."
"No way!" shouted Lloyd, not willing to give up anyone.
"Fine, then I will just have to get rid of all of you," they said, tightening the vines. All the ninjas let out another yell of pain.
Jay, still upside down, clearly about to faint, said, "It would be really nice if Nya and Wu would COME BACK ABOUT NOW!"
"I'll go," said Cole from where he stood.
"NO!" shouted everyone simultaneously.
"Perfect," said the figure. Suddenly, the vines let go of all the ninja except Cole. The rest of those vines surrounded Cole, and he suddenly disappeared along with the person in green. Just like that, they were gone.
"WHAT? JUST. HAPPENED!" yelled Jay again, just now regaining his consciousness.
"We just lost a friend, and we need to get them back," said Lloyd, determined to find Cole as quickly as possible.
Just as they all regained their footing, Sensei Wu and Nya barged through the doors, looking determined to help. The ninja stood and looked at them in sorrow.
"Took you guys long enough," said Jay.
"We couldn't get in. The doors were barricaded with vines. What happened? Where's Cole?" Said Nya
"They took him," said Kai, visibly upset.
"And we're going to get him back," said Lloyd.
The team decided to leave the museum because it seemed like bad luck for them. They regrouped in the bounty and discussed a plan to try and get Cole back. It's hard to find a villain when you do not know a single thing about them.
After they discussed what to do in the morning, they all decided to get some rest before a long search. Lloyd went to his room and began thinking again.
