"Mom, I need you to tell me everything about this childhood friend I had," Lloyd said.

"Sadie? Oh, she was fantastic. You two would spend all of your time together. She lived right across the street from us," Misako stated.

Is this why she was so familiar to him?

"Her parents were not the best to her, so she would frequently come over to get away from them. We enjoyed having her. She'd come over for dinner, and then you'd all go play board games in the living room," Misako stated.

Lloyd exhaled a sigh of relief. He remembered Sadie saying her mother had died, so it couldn't have been her!

"But then her mother died."

There it was...

"And she came around more and more. Don't get me wrong: we loved her, but as your father began to turn evil, it became increasingly difficult to keep her safe. I had to keep you out of harm's way already. Two of you would have been far too difficult," Misako stated.

Lloyd knew he had done nothing wrong, but he still felt awful.

"We eventually moved quickly after your father went completely evil. We had to flee. After we left, I realized we hadn't told her where we were going, but I didn't have a choice. I couldn't help but think of you and your father first," Misako stated.

"So we never went back?" asked Lloyd.

"No. We never did," she said back.

"That was her, Mom. She eventually found her way back to us. We must make things right," Lloyd stated.

"I saw the way you were looking at her, Lloyd. Is this more than a friendship?" Misako asked.

"NO, MOM, WHAT?" Lloyd said as his entire face went red.

"Okay, okay, I was just asking," she said back, laughing. She hadn't ever seen her son react like this.

He hoped she'd return soon so he could explain everything, but he also wanted to give her some space. This had a negative impact on her life, and he couldn't imagine how she felt when they left. He hoped to make amends with her.

It was going to be difficult with the villain still on the loose. He didn't want to put her in danger, but her sadness stemmed from her previous fear of putting her in danger. Perhaps they should all step back and let her run her own show. She was tough and didn't need anyone's help.

"So Mom, why are you actually here?" Said Lloyd.

"Well, I came to catch up, but also Wu called and said you were having trouble with mind control," said Misako.

"Yeah, Zane and Cole are down. We have Zane, but he hasn't moved in days and Cole has been missing for weeks now," said Lloyd.

"Well, I need some information from everyone to try and link what is taking control of your friends, and then I can figure out how to bring them back," Misako explained.

Lloyd hugged his mother. He intended to take a nap soon. All of this was too much for him. He started to walk away.

"Oh, and Lloyd?" Said Misako.

"Yeah, Mom?" He responded.

"Make it up to her," she said.

"I will." He said strongly.

He hoped she would come back soon.
