I am revising this fic as a separate story. Currently, at the time of posting this note, there is an author's note that gives more details.
Some parts will stay the same or similar, but there are also bigger changes I want to do that would span multiple chapters. But the premise will be the same: Harry finds a snake that introduces him to the wizarding world sooner and eventually finds out he has a soulmate.
An AU of an AU. Or whatever you want to call it, I don't know.
That all being said, I AM NOT DELETING THIS VERSION. If you have no desire to read the new one, or you do read it and decide you prefer the original, rest assure it will still be here.

It's been quite the journey. I started this fic in February 2019 and managed to first finish it in about two years (somehow). Then came the unpublication on Wattpad — though it remained on ao3 — partly due to not liking some of the decisions I've made and partly due to personal reasons I cannot fully remember now.
And then I realized, what's stopping me from revising? It's my fic, I can do whatever I want with it. But I didn't want to make a new story, so I just revised and edited the chapters directly on here. It was really entertaining seeing rereaders' reactions to the new version and new readers coming in for the first time.
I cannot thank you all enough for your patience; I know it wasn't exactly the most conventional journey, but you stuck with it and for that, I am very grateful.
