Chapter 10
The walk home seemed longer than I thought, or maybe it was because I was tired. I reached into my pocket to retrieve my wallet, but nothing was there. I checked again nothing. Oh right, I left it on the table. It was too late to get it now and my feet were already dragging me. That short dude might have took it and kept it. but I was having my doubts. What if he stole? Cause I had just received my monthly pay and there was quite a lot of money in it.
I brushed my thoughts aside and said to myself that I'm Of AvErAgE hEiGhT guy was too dumb to steal.
I finally reached home but when I opened the door, I saw the person who I did not want to see at all.
"Dad? what are you doing here". And I looked to see Jungkook with a smile on his face.
"C'mon, go pack your bags, we'll be moving to my mansion!" he exclaimed gleefully. But I was still expressionless.
"What bout mum?" I asked.
"Nah, don't bother. I'll be sending over monthly allowance for her."
I felt weird, it was so sudden. After years and years of waiting, my dad finally came back with a weird reason to take us away suddenly. As much as I hated my mum, with her condition, she needed someone around with her.
"Whats the catch?" I asked my dad.
"Nothing!" that smile, I wanted to rip it off his face.
"I'm staying here." He fiercely got up from his seat and stood in front of me. I wasn't scared, I've been through worse. With that, he wrapped his hand around my throat and started choking me. I gasped for air, hitting him continuously until he finally let go. I fell to the floor on my knees and gasped for as much air as I could.
"Are you trying to define an offer that's only once in a lifetime?"
"Yes," Jungkook said, "Leave, now"
With that stern look on his face, my dad left, annoyed.
"Sena, you, okay?" he asked, approaching my side. I nodded. I touched the spot where he gripped my neck and winced.
It probably left a red mark.
As many days passed, thoughts of dad still haunted my mind. But the main question was, why was he so worked up when I replied that I didn't want to go with him?
I frowned at that thought as doongie came up to me and started meowing, tapping my leg gently, wanting my attention. I chuckled and lifted doongie up, placing her on the counter.
A little girl came in waddling towards me and started wailing. "What's wrong?" I asked gently. "I can't find my dada" and she started wailing again. "I'll find him with you, okay?" I asked and she nodded. She held onto my hand, and we started walking. I was practically leaning down to her height while walking as she was only at my knees.
"You're very pretty noona." She suddenly said, playing with my hair which was laid on my left shoulder.
"Thank you." I smiled.
"That's dada!" she said pointing to a man who was frantically searching for something, or someone.
The little kid ran with her tiny legs and her arms flapping by her side. The man turned around and saw her. I shocked as I saw his face.
"Minho??!?!?!"
He looked up and our eyes locked.
"Dada!" the little girl cried out, breaking the silence between us.
"Don't ever wonder around without my consent understand?" Minho playfully scolded girl while carrying her. She nodded, smiling.
"Is that mama?" the kid said, pointing in my direction. Our eyes widened and I awkwardly laughed, shaking my head.
"Minho it's your kid?"
"No, she's niece. I'm her favourite uncle so she calls me dada," he explained, doing aegyo to the kid.
"Dada, I have ballet class!" the kid scolded. Minho checked his watch, "Yep you do, come on. Bye Sena!"
