changing for the better

Mavis-

Jay decided to go on over to his room since he had to get changed. It was now only me and Amber. She looked.. happy? "Who knew miss popular could be so funny?" I asked sarcastically. She rolls in her eyes in return before speaking up. "Who knew the loners could be so fun?" She asked in the same sarcastic tone that i gave her earlier. I laughed a bit before reaching over to my bag. I looked through it a bit before finding my bathing suit. It was a long sleeved one piece, it was also fully black. I got it out and out of the corner of my eye i saw Amber going through her things. She got out a red one piece together with some.. shorts? Why would she need shorts? "I'm gonna change." She said before going to the bathroom. She got back out a few minutes later and i couldn't stop staring at the blonde. Her body was perfect and she was so beautiful. I realized i was staring and looked down. "Fuck and i just did my makeup." I said groaning. She giggled in return. "I like your laugh." I said without thinking. I quickly realized what i said and froze for a bit. She looked at me with a raised brow before smiling. "Thanks." She said before getting her bag which made me blush but i brushed it off by getting my things and going towards the bathroom.

Amber-

She likes my laugh? That made me so happy for some reason. I haven't gotten a genuine compliment that wasn't sexual in ages. I felt a brush crawl up my neck but ignored it when she entered the bathroom. I got my things and went over to the mirror. I stared at myself for a while. Why does my body look like that? It looks so weird. Suddenly i heard the door open and see Mavis walk out, she was wearing a long-sleeved black one piece. She looked so pretty and her body looked perfect. She was skinny, had smaller breasts then me. She had taken her makeup off and even without it she looked so nice. I ignored the feeling and grabbed my stuff that was on the floor. I packed some sun screen, sunglasses and a few other things since i didn't know what we would be exactly doing. I also threw some shorts over my bathing suit and Mavis did the opposite by wearing a long sleeved black bathing suit.

Mavis-

I could feel eyes on me the whole time i got out of the bathroom. Amber was staring at me. Oh shit is she judging me? I knew wearing a swimsuit was a bad idea. I decide to look back at her but the look in her eyes weren't disgust? It was more of an admiration. But she couldn't be admiring me. I brushed my weird thinking off and grabbed my bag and put some clothes over my bathing suit. I started heading outside but i waited for Amber at the door. She noticed i was waiting for her and quickly got her bag and followed me. We got outside together and started walking towards the exit where everyone was waiting. We both walked towards Jay who was talking with his roommate. I greeted him by slapping him like any other nice person would do. "Mav-" He started but got cut off when he was about to slap the wrong person back. "Watch your hand." Amber said moving his hand from her face. "Oh shit." He said. "It's okay i wouldn't mind slapping the shit out of you either." She said jokingly. Me and Jay both laughed at her joke. Soon enough the bus came and people started getting on. It was our turn and Amber took a seat next to me as Jay took a seat next to his roommate. Amber got out her phone and i could see her starting to go through instagram. I took a glance at her phone and it was.. me? The mirror picture i took was on her exploring page. "What a coincidence." She said looking at me with a smirk. I rolled my eyes in return and immediately got a notification that she followed me. I followed her back and checked her profile. She had one new photo which was a picture of her late at night. She looked so pretty i cannot. I smiled at the picture before closing instagram, i opened spotify and began listening to music. I look over to Amber who placed her phone down and grabbed a book. She was reading and i could see her smiling and blushing and i bet she's at the kissing part. God she's so cute. I look back over to my things, now what can i do?

I picked the book that i was previously reading up and went over to the page i last read. I started reading and i couldn't stop smiling. I continued and.. they kissed. THEY FUCKING KISSED? "FUCK YEAH." I screamed loud enough for only Mavis to hear. I see her look at me with a raised brow. "Sorry uhm they kissed." I explained in embarrassment. "I know." She said with a smirk. She knows? What. "I've read that book before." She said grinning at me. "Oh." I said in slight embarrassment. It didn't take long for us to make it. The teacher announced that we'll be getting off slowly and to stay in your groups. I waiting with Mavis as our groups formed. I wonder what we are gonna be doing.
