After a long and dreadful week, the weekend comes in a blink, and it was already Saturday.

Ever since their little chit chat at the cafe, the two hadn't stopped exchanging text messages.

Mark occasionally texted her, asking how her day went and Jieun ranting to him about her deadlines.

His lame jokes kept her up all night and her replies kept him entertained.

It was unusual and Jieun felt alien. Weirded out by the fact that Mark was so nice to her and willing to keep the conversation going. In the end, she just pushed all the doubts away and come to the sense that they were friends and nothing more.

It was 5:34 pm Jieun had promised Mark to meet at 6.

She stomped around her room, busy finding the right outfit.

"Is this okay?" She turned to ask her flatmate,

"Babe, that's the nth time you've asked me that. and you look amazing. You always do! why are you so stressed about it?" Seolla questioned.

"I don't know, something feels off..." Jieun said and looked over to the mirror.

"you look fine" Seolla reassured.

Jieun sighed, decided to just go for a basic mini dress with a long coat.

"Look at you, getting so worked up over just a small date~" Seolla teased.

"it's not a date, Mark's just being nice because someone ditched me!" Jieun said sarcastically . "geez, you'll thank me in the future" Seolla winked.

Jieun stuck her tongue out, making a mocking face.

She too had no idea why she was stressing out over just an outfit. She felt her make up being too cakey, her dress wrapped her too tight and her shoes fitted weirdly. Even though it was all fine.

Unknowingly, it was already 6:13 and Jieun was late.

-

"Sorry for being late!" Jieun apologized as she ran to the entry of the gallery.

Mark stood there waiting for her. "it's okay, I was late too... hahaha" He laughed.

He wore a white shirt with a pair of black cargo pants. He had his hair up which Jieun find very attractive.

Mark has always been attractive and Jieun knew that very well.

But something was off about today. Not sure if it was his hair, the way he dressed or his cologne. One thing for sure, he was irresistible and Jieun wanted to kiss him.

"Are you checking me out?" He smirked. "yea right" She side-eyed him.

The two strolled around the halls, indulging in the works of all amazing artists.

The art gallery was divided into different zones and floors by their eras. There were works dating from the stone age, paintings, wood carvings and even sculptures and calligraphy printings.

Jieun being the art student she is, explained some of the works that she had studied before. She talked about their origins, the techniques used and even some of the backstories of the artists.

Mark nodded. Pretending to understand.

The two walked together with Jieun taking pictures here and there for her report.

Occasionally, Mark would chime in with his comments about the works, sounding all so mainstream. Which made Jieun chuckle at his cuteness. He was trying to impress her, and there was no harm in doing that.
