Jin watches the crowd, bored out of his mind. Nothing ever interesting happens in his life. And that's saying something considering he's more than two thousand years old. He even forgot his birthday, it didn't matter to him anyway.
It's another day for him.
When was his birthday anyways?
How old is he? He can feel the bitter resentment towards people who can be excited to celebrate such an occasion. He grips the plastic cup in his hands, taking a sip of the hot chocolate. He slightly flinches when he looks up to see a snowflake fall.
He supposes he should get home to the others. He takes a couple of more sips and leaves his spot. He heads to his car when he hears a sound of laughter coming from his left. He looks to see a park with a bunch of families.
The parents are trying to get the kids home as soon as possible thanks to the drop in temperature and the sudden snowfall. The family leaves, packing up most things but they did leave behind an unopen case of cupcakes. He walks over to the cupcake tray, sighing a bit.
He opens it, placing one cupcake down in front of him.

'Ah what a waste,' Jin thought, taking a seat in front of the left behind the cupcake. His eyes widen when he sees her, her beauty... He looks down to her neck, seeing the faint glow reside there. Where his fangs would bite her to claim her as his mate, to change her into a vampire.
'It's her,' he thought.
No, he can't let her leave. She can't leave him.
"Um excuse me!" he calls out to her.
The woman stops, glancing at the man with her brows raised, surprised, and confused. "Um do you have a lighter?" he asked. She examines the table Jin is at and recognizes that he is having a very lonely birthday party.
She walks over, nodding.
"Sure do, um happy birthday," she said, smiling.
"Yeah one year closer to death," he said, smiling. "I don't even remember my birthday."
