A night of late studying, two in the morning where the two best friends are looking over their notes in Y/N's room. Well, Mike was at least, you had fallen asleep on top of your notes. He rubs his eyes trying to fight the sleep, but his body is demanding rest. He needed to study for this test, he couldn't fail this test. Now that he got into the honors program he felt more pressure to pass.
If he failed his GPA would fall then he would be kicked out of honors and then a whole shitshow could happen. He leans over and shakes you by your shoulder. "Y/N wake up, we still need to go over the mammals and-"
"If you take the stick out of the witch she would fart a volcano," you said, sitting up abruptly.
The hell were you dreaming?
Your awareness of reality makes you yawn and stretch out your back. "Mike it's almost three why are you still up?" you mumbled, rubbing your eyes. "The test is in a few days I cannot fail."
"You're not going to fail." Your voice is full of exhaustion, but that didn't stop you from climbing over your notes sprawled on your bed over to him sitting on a bean bag. "You doubt yourself too much Mike, you're a hard worker, it's just your ass waits until the last second to do the work."
"Oh like you never procrastinate before," he mumbles.
"I know I did, but you're selling yourself short, you'll do fine on this test." You sat beside him, resting your head on the bean bag close to his arm. He shifts a bit so his head is resting on top of yours as you scan his notes. "Damn you have a loaded stack, are you trying to study the whole class in a few days.
"Yes," he said, chuckling. He lets out a sigh and studies his notes for a couple more minutes before feeling you slouch against him. He glances back to you, seeing you sleep, and curled up to his side. It's quite rare for you to fall asleep around people, the fact that you feel comfortable and trust him enough with this. It made him happy.
"I will not let anything happen to you," he whispers.
"Aw you two would've made a cute couple, why didn't you get together?" a woman's voice calls out.
