Chapter 50

Arizona's POV

Today is Friday, the day after thanksgiving and Amelia, Ellie, Sofia, Mark and I all arrived back in Seattle

Amelia had asked me to move in with her, I love her. I really do. I also have Sofia to think about. And,,, I plan on talking with her this weekend

We all got into separate taxis and went home

"Momma, can I sleep in your bed?" Sofia asked and I smile

"Of course, let's go get out of these clothes and we can nap for a few hours" I tell her and she nods

After we changed Sofia climbed into my bed and cuddled up against me,

When she was younger the only way to get her to sleep was if she was touching callie or I, which really sucked when we both had an overnight shift.

Even at marks house, he would call us saying he couldn't get her to sleep so one of us always went to his apartment just to be with Sofia until she fell asleep

I waited until Sofia fell asleep against me before drifting off to sleep myself

After waking up a few hours later, I made an early dinner for the both of us and we are currently sitting on the couch watching some television show

We have a busy day tomorrow as well so today is really our only relaxing day, If you don't count the plane ride early this morning

Tomorrow Derek and Meredith are having their thanksgiving dinner that we are attending

Deciding now would be s good time to talk to Sofia about moving in with Amelia, I turned to her slowly

This conversation can go so many ways, maybe she wants to or maybe she doesn't, I am more worried about her knowing that what ever she decides that no one will be upset with her. I don't want her to be uncomfortable in any situation

"Sofia, I have something to talk with you about" I say and pause the tv

"What's wrong?" She ask and I smile

"Nothings wrong, I just want to ask you some questions" I tell her and she looks at me confused but nods

"So, while we were in L.A, Amelia asked me if you and I would want to move in with her and Ellie" I say and watch her face for any reaction

"Like to their house?" She questions

"Yea, Amelia has an office that we would turn into your own room" I explain

"What about our house?" She asked

"Well, we would keep our house, the house will be here but our stuff, like your toys will be at Amelias" I tell her

"What did you say to Amelia?" She asked and laid back against me

"I told her that I needed to talk to you first" I say and she nods

"Was she mad?" She questions

"No, Amelia already knew I was going to ask you first." I say

"But..... does this mean she is my other mom? I already have 2" she says quietly

"Not at all, Amelia is not trying to replace mommy, she loves you, and she knows she isn't your mom" I say and she nods

"Would Ellie be my sister?" She asked

"Well, I'm sure if that's something you wanted then Ellie would agree. You guys may not be blood related but there are many family's with unbiological siblings" I smile

"Um momma" she questions

"Yea sof?" I reply

"Do I have to decide right now?" She asked me

" of course not, I know it's a big decision but I just want you to know whatever you choose, not me or Amelia will be upset with your Answer" I say and she nods

"Do you like Amelia?" I ask,

"I do momma, she is nice. But sometimes I think you like Ellie more" she says and I smile, I knew she was getting a little jealous of me spending time with Ellie

"I know, that I spend a lot of time with Ellie, and I am sorry if you feel like I'm not paying as much attention to you. I am sorry love." I say  and she smiles up at me

"I know momma, it's just different... but I do like Ellie and Amelia" she smiles

"I know it's different, it's not just me and you anymore." I say and she nods

The next day

Amelias POV

Ellie and I just arrived at Derek and Merediths, she left me almost immediately to go hang out with her cousins

"How was L.A?" Derek asked coming over to me

"It was great, I always like going down" I say, ignoring the actual meaning of his question

"Amelia" he sighs

"I'm fine Derek. L.A was good. I didn't do anything you're insinuating" I say coldly

"I just want to make sure you're okay Amy" he says

"Well I'm okay Derek" I say and walk away and end up bumping into someone

"God I'm sorry" I say and back away

"Ames Hunny, what's going on? What's wrong?" She asked and I let out a sigh of relief and let my self be embraced by her

"Nothing... I'm fine just- Derek. He will only ever see me as his addict of a sister" I sigh and she kisses the corner of my mouth

"Hey, I love you okay? I know I'm not Derek and it's not the same. But I do love you Amelia, even with your past. You're strong for getting sober and staying sober and for that I am so proud of you" she says and cups my face and presses her soft lips against mine

"Thank you.... I love you and thank you" I sigh and rest my head against hers

"Why don't we spend the night together? Hm? Your place or mine, whatever it is." She says and I smile and nod

"I'd like that" I admit and she takes my hand and we walk around to greet everyone together.

After we ate and spent a good bit of time there the four of decided it was time to leave and we all went back to Arizona's place after Ellie and I went home
To get clothes and she took a shower

"Alright Ellie, I don't want you saying anything to Sofia about maybe moving in okay?" I tell her once we arrived at Arizona's and she just nods, just in case Arizona hadn't gotten around to talking with her yet, and Arizona opened the door before we could even knock

"Sofia is in her room beautiful" Arizona tells her and she skips to Sofia's room and Arizona and I sat  on the couch,

She was sat on one end while I laid against the other with my feet in her lap and she was rubbing up and down my legs

"Thank you for being there for me tonight" I tell her and she smiles

"And I always will be" she smiles

"Even if you did run straight into me"  she teases and we laugh

"I love you" I laugh

"I love you more" she tells me

"Oh I highly doubt that"
