Aiden

"What?" I choked.

"Aiden there isn't time to dwell, we need to go! Now!"

Everything moved in a blur, one moment we were in my room, fighting. Lily took my arm and dragged me running to my car. The next we were under Robin's building, Lily ran out of the car to the entrance.

Phan, ever since the pain of her betrayal, was right there on the surface with me. We were both so hurt that we needed to use both of our energies to function.

After the pain was over, we sat on the floor of that stupid suite, wounded. It was a horrible night.

I immediately scheduled an early flight, I couldn't stay a minute longer in that shit hole.

Then, while I was packing she came in. Her wound on her forehead was gone, still wearing the torn red dress from the fight, her hair messy, makeup smudged.

I looked at her and she looked at me. Silence.

I started unloading my heart. I shouted at her, screamed at how selfish she was, what was it like for me to feel that pain, how stupid could she actually be to sleep with that snake who forced her to kill people a few hours before...

I didn't mention how she hurt my feelings, how I yearned for one more moment in bed with her cuddled in my arms. How that yearning burned my heart and tore it after what she did.

She didn't deserve to know, unfortunately not too soon, she will be out of my life forever and non of this will matter. Her reaction to what I did say was also justifying my choice.

Robin watched me in silence while I spoke, when I finished she took her stuff and got out of the room.

I felt hurt, disrespected, unvalued. Five fucking Alphas were restraining me because I was so afraid for her safety, for her getting hurt.  and she didn't put two shits when it came to hurting me.

Now we were under her building, her amazing scent was evident in my nose even if we were at the bottom of her building.

I wasn't ready to see her yet.

"Aiden we need to get out of the car and see her" Phan whined.

"I can't"

"Don't make me beg of you when I am a mess myself. I am not ready too, but we need to make sure she is fine. The second she is, we will just go."

I shook my head, My hands held tightly on the wheel, not ready to leave the car.

"When you slept with other women she was still there for you!" Phan said angrily.

"It's different! We didn't know each other well back then."

"The pain she felt when you had your fun was still the same. I am mad and hurt too, I am just asking you to see she is ok..."

I took a breath and let go of the wheel. I got out of the car and walked into the building.

While I made my way to her apartment I was lost in deep thought.

I can't believe that every time I discover something about Robin it's always more heartbreaking than the other. It seems as time goes on, her past life seems worse and worse.
