Aiden

The week went by painfully slow.

After the fight at Robin's apartment, we didn't speak or see each other. I thought it was healthy for the both of us to have some space after everything.

I did hear about her from Lily, apparently they had a major fight.

Lily felt betrayed that Robin decided to keep her in the dark over me and her being mates. Robin told her that it was because she was my sister so she didn't want to involve her in my affairs, and we wanted to reject each other so she avoided putting her between us.

I also heard a lot of shouting and accusations were involved, Lily didn't understand why Robin won't want me and Robin didn't agree to tell. They haven't spoken for two days, and Lily apologized, again.

I will admit, I was disappointed to hear that Robin didn't show her reasons to Lily.

Aside from my bet with Phan to make him leave me alone, I need to know.

I need to find the root of the problem in her eyes and see what is it about me that she tries too hard to push away...

To be honest, for all of our sakes, I want to try to keep an open mind and go with the flow. All that is left is to explore and see if anything good will come out of it.

It's time I'll see what is it about the whole mate thing that gets everybody so crazy about... If nothing will turn out, I was never afraid of dying alone. At least now I wouldn't also regret, after stepping down from the Alpha role, that I never tried to see if Robin was the person I was meant to spend the rest of my life with.

Although I will say, I am sure I will still be a chick magnet in my fifties.

Apparently Lily had some drama with her other friend too. He hated the idea of the camping trip for some reason and he didn't want to go. Lily needed some favor to promise him if he will decide to come so she asked me to review his status as an omega again. I played along with that when she said that Robin will feel more comfortable if he will be there.

I told her that he will need to prepare an application and he and his mom will need to be interviewed. I will also see how he is as a person on the trip so my decision will be just. I guess that was enough to force him to come.

We all needed this trip, each of us fought in some way with the other.

Lia and Jack had a big fight of their own. They didn't agree to share, but it happened over Halloween when Robin and I were away. They are good now but it was still weird to hear, they are together for years now and it's the first time I heard they had any kind of a fight.

Orion felt left out. He came to all of us and said that a lot of the work fell on him for all the covering up he needed to do, me because of the trip and Jack for personal matters, probably his fight with Lia. It wore him out and it made him feel lonely, it also prevented his band from performing on Halloween which upset him.

We needed to bond and raise the morale.

We all agreed to meet in the packhouse at seven AM. Phan was excited to spend time with Robin after everything. He too needed a rest from the drama but he missed her.

I was all packed and ready. Food, tent, clothes, water... The guard got an alert of our designated campsite and trail, I will be available on my phone the whole time, and because I am not leaving pack ground and available, no one needs to step in for me.

Let's just hope nothing will happen that the guard will need to call me.

Lily and I waited in the living room for everyone. Jack and Lia came first, Seth came later. We all were waiting now for Robin and Orion to come and we could go.
