Derek was holding Meredith in his arms as they were watching another movie. It's been a few days since Derek's nightmare but he had some smaller ones ever since. He dreamed about Meredith not being in remission or the bone marrow that wasn't a match

"Are you okay?" He head Meredith ask

"I should ask you" He laughed softly

"But I'm asking you" She looked sternly in his eyes

"I'll be okay" Derek kissed her forehead

"Everything will be okay" Meredtih smiled softly

"How are you feeling?" Derek asked her as he rubbed her arm softly

"Okay" She smiled softly before resting her head on Derek's chest

"Is there anything you wanna do today?" He asked her

"Idontknow" She muttered as her eyes started to droop and she fell asleep

Derek chuckled a bit. She fell asleep so easily because of all the drugs and treatments

Hours had passed by quickly. Meredith was having a pretty good day except for the exhaustion but they had been sitting at the window for a while while they were spotting people, they had been watching movies and they have been making plans

"Meredith, dear. We have to leave for radiation" Carolyn broke their happiness

"Derek, are you coming?" Meredith quietly asked

"Of course" He smiled softly and helped her up

"Here, I know there's a lot of sun but I don't want you to catch anything" Carolyn handed Meredith a warm coat and a scarf

"Thank you Carolyn" Meredith smiled softly

"Your mom is working, I don't know if you wanna stop by to say hi?" Carolyn asked as she and Derek led Meredith out to the car

"If she's not busy.. Maybe" Meredith replied as Derek helped her in the back of the car "Dammit" She muttered as she didn't have enough force to buckle herself in

"Hey, let me" Derek smiled softly before kissing her forehead gently

"Hmm.. Thanks" She muttered as she rested her head on his shoulder as they drove to the hospital while listening to some music

"Maybe we can stop at the ferry dock later on?" Derek suggested

"Would like that" She softly whispered as she started to fall asleep

"Only if you feel well" Carolyn reminded them as she kept driving, every ten minutes looking into the mirror to see Meredith softly asleep on Derek's shoulder while he stroked her cheek with his hand "We're here" Carolyn announced as they reached the hospital

They helped Meredith inside where they opted for a wheelchair. She didn't protest on it, the walking was tiring her out and she really wanted to go see the ferries for a bit

"Meredith, hi!" Arizona said as Carolyn, Derek and Meredith arrived at oncology

"Hi" Meredith smiled softly

"Sorry I'm late!" Christopher said as he ran up to them "Can we start?" He smiled softly as he said hello to his wife, son and Meredith who he saw as his own

"Ready as can be" Meredith sighed but a soft smile appeared as Derek assured her everything will be okay as he squeezed her hand

Carolyn helped Meredith get changed into the gown before the older woman helped Meredith to lay down on the table. She always stayed with her so she needed to get dressed with a special jacket to keep herself safe from the radiation

Derek had to wait in the waiting room because he wasn't old enough to stay during the treatment. He usually checked his phone and kept in contact with some friends or played a video game until she was done. As time passed by, he always got more and more scared to see in what mood she would be

Usually she was just very tired but he was always scared for a fever or that she would throw up because he had so much difficulty seeing her so sick

"Derek?" His father pulled him out of his thoughts

"How is she?" Derek stood up

"Not that good. She felt dizzy and just threw up. Your mom is with her now" Christopher explained

"Can I go see her?" He asked

"Of course" Christopher smiled and walked his son to Meredith

"Hi Mer" Derek softly said as he entered the room but she didn't open her eyes as she kept gagging but nothing came out. He grabbed her hand, immediately noticing the dry skin. He made a mental note to apply some of the hand cream when they got home

He kept rubbing her back softly as she kept laying on her side for a bit

"Meredith, do you think you will be okay?" Arizona asked softly and helped the girl up after a soft nod. Meredith swayed slightly as everyone tried to stabilize her before Christopher lifted her into the wheelchair

"We're going home" Derek kissed Meredith's forehead as he covered her with her favourite blanket that they had brought for after her treatment

"Ferry.." She whispered as she closed her eyes

"We can go another time" Derek assured her "We should go home now, I wanna spend the time cuddling with you"

"G-Good" She nodded softly as Carolyn pushed Meredith away from the oncology ward, Derek still holding onto her hand

The drive home went smoothly. Derek had brought her to her room and laid down next to her. He placed his computer in front of them and opened youtube. He played a video of the ferry boats in Seattle which made Meredith chuckle

"You're insane" She whispered

"Now we can watch the ferry boats" He kissed her neck as he took his position next to her so they were spooning
