CHAPTER FIFTEEN
PORTERThree of the Foxes ended up in the hospital. There was blood, hand-braces, and different blooming bruises across all of them, but there was a sliver of comfort in knowing it could have been a lot worse. That comfort was vastly outweighed when the Foxes took count and realized Neil was gone.
His bag was three terminals down by the time the riot stopped, and Andrew had found picked it up, turned Neil's phone in his fingers, and said nothing. The tension in Andrew's shoulders was terrifying.
"Maybe an ambulance grabbed him," Nicky had tried to say. It seemed like Andrew couldn't hear him at all.
When Wymack tried to tell Andrew to move, he finally spoke, "Kevin."
From in between James and Porter, Kevin tensed slightly. He walked up to Andrew obediently.
In a low voice, Andrew asked, "Where is he?"
"I-" Kevin didn't dare look at the other Foxes for help, but Porter still heard the plea. "I don't--"
"Where is he?" Andrew's head snapped to Kevin. Porter got ready to move fast, eyes wide at the moment and the tone. If Andrew was finally at his breaking point, Porter wanted his friends as far away from him. He gave Kevin one second -- to which Kevin said nothing -- before his hands started shaking and he yelled, "Where is he?!"
Nicky's mouth opened, but it closed even quicker. Half of the Foxes flinched at the noise, whether from the unexpected escalation, Andrew's seemingly genuine care as to Neil's whereabouts, or the threats that were beneath him.
"I--" Kevin stopped again. He gave Andrew no answer. Andrew didn't like that at all. "Andrew—"
Andrew jumped for him before he finished. They both hit the ground sickly, and Andrew's hands were on Kevin's throat before Porter could move. This wasn't even torture — this was murder. The grip he had on Kevin was deadly, it cut off all air, it bruised his skin. The look in Andrew's eyes said he wouldn't stop.
Porter jumped for Andrew as soon as it happened, but Nicky was quick to throw his entire body weight into grabbing Porter and throwing him back. Looking back at it, Nicky was most likely doing his best to protect him from his cousin. At that moment, Porter didn't care at all about intentions.
"What the fuck?!" He yelled. While he screamed, he clawed at Nicky's hold on him, to which Nicky attempted to tighten his grip and looked to the other Foxes for backup. "Get the fuck off of him, Andrew! Andrew!"
Andrew didn't let him, but he still grimaced and demanded, "Who took him?"
"Andrew," Renee tried to step in, though with both her hands damaged she was no good in a fight against him, "We don't know what happened to Neil."
"I'm learning," He shot back. Renee was probably the only person he would have replied to in that scenario.
Kevin was making a terrible choking sound, gasping for air and trying to speak at the same time. Beside him, Porter vaguely registered James trying to jump into action, but he was too busy clawing at Nicky to care. Matt — horribly bruised and not much help — had joined Nicky's effects to keep Porter away from Andrew.
"Andrew, let him go! ¡Te mataré! ¡Te voy a matar!" He got angrier with every word, but as he started throwing his elbows, he remembered it was Nicky who was holding him. In under a minute — because Porter wasn't sure Kevin had longer than that left — Porter had to figure out how to get Andrew off of him without hurting Nicky and getting himself killed via Andrew's wrath.
