Several hours later
After Marley had made it home from after-school tutoring and hearing her parents complain about her being in the library with Jace who was only trying to help her with her math homework she starts to feel lost and broken at the same time. She then gets her shower and goes to her room and looks at the stars that are twinkling in the sky. She then closes her eyes and starts to have a flashback to that night where she had locked herself in the bathroom texting Jace and was listening to her iPod.
Before she had tried to call him but his phone kept ringing and kept going to voicemail and the same thing was happening to Marley and she had remembered that voicemail that he had sent to her a couple of days earlier in the week. Marley, If you get this message and are anyway feeling sad just go and look for the second star and close your eye and just imagine us running from here.
As she goes and gets ready for bed she then closes her eyes again and she starts to have a dream about escaping from there and the song Second Star to the Right starts playing. She's dreaming about flying to the second star and flying away from all of the problems that's going on at home. One of those things is the complaining from her parents and the snooping around that her sister is doing.
While she's still dreaming about it she sees Jace floating outside of her bedroom window. As she walks up to the window she climbs to the window and then the two of them flies out of her room into the sky.
The other problems that she's dealing with is her teacher seeing her getting extra help from Jace than from her in the afternoons when school is out for the day. As both of them are now floating around outside the two of them are standing on a tree branch looking at the stars that's shining in the sky along with a full moon.
As the two of them are standing there looking at all of the lights on the ground she then sees a figure. Back inside of her room her parents, sister and brother are looking around in her room for her. I have a feeling that he might had been in her room and in this house.
Marley, do you see those two stars that are twinkling in the sky. Yeah, I can see both of them just shining so bright in the sky. What is it that you are trying to say or even tell me. Is that we should go and fly over to the second star to the right til morning and never look back for one minute or second. As both of them are flying to the second star her parents are still like looking for her.
Richie, come here you need to see this. Jeannie, what is it.. the window to Marley's room has been opened and I have a feeling that he probably was here and I don't even know where she's at now.
While her parents were searching all over for Marley she was floating down on the ground but she had realized that she wasn't even in her room anymore at all. So, what is this place cause it's so peaceful and I don't have to worry about anything including my parents complaining about us or none of that.. what about my learning disability Jace. You won't have to worry about it either cause it's not going to get to you one way or the other. As both of them are admiring all it's beautiful of an unknown island she keeps hearing her name... Marley...Marley..Mar.. Ok, I'm awake now.
What was that dream was even about and I bet it's about you wanting fly away from here.
