Chapter 3 Why Is It Just Another Crush

Several hours later

While she's in her room crying she hears a knock on her door and it's her little brother Nathan...Mom said that its time to come downstairs for dinner... I'm not hungry and I just want to be left alone. So your not coming down for dinner. The sorry kid I'm not so go and enjoy your dinner with mom dad and Carley. Is your sister coming for dinner..No she's not cause she said that she wasn't hungry? Your sister is coming for dinner and I don't care if she's not hungry now your sister better come down or I'm going to get her down here myself. I don't know what she's doing at that school but I do know one thing. What's that Richie? She's better not be talking to not one boy at that school.

Jeanine, I had heard from Carley that Marley had met some boy today when school was let out for the day. That better not be true cause if it is and I find out about it. Marley will find out what it is like to be torn apart cause I will make sure that all of it happens. Several hours later Marley's father opens the door to her room and he sees that she is fast asleep. While she is asleep she hears her phone vibrating on her nightstand. It was a text message from Rachel letting her know about the fall and winter dance that is coming up at the very end of November going into December.

Rachel: I don't know if you heard about it last week but the first every combined Fall and Winter Ball is coming up. Maybe if Jace is there you two should get to know each other.

She had stayed asleep till the very next morning which was Friday. It was the very next morning and Marley had gotten up and went to take a shower and had gotten her clothes on and brushed her teeth. She then had gotten her lunch ready in her lunchbox along with her book bag and her purse. She had then slipped her phone into her purse.

What's with your sister getting ready but she won't eat dinner? I don't even know mom. I'm wondering if it's because of her and school. Who knows and we will just have to wait and see for ourselves.

Several hours later and both of them are at school. In the first period. Marley did you get my message last night about the combined Fall and Winter ball that's coming up. I didn't see it till this morning cause I was super upset to where I was scared and nervous yesterday. Why what happened? Thanks to my sister she had decided to tell her friends and my parents that I had met a guy meaning Jace. The worst part is that my parents especially my father had heard about it and he's not happy about it at all. I have a feeling that it's not going to end well for you.

Let's not worry about that part right now cause I have a whole lot more to worry about meaning grades in all of my classes which includes my math. It's probably going to be like last year with me having to go to another one of my conferences with my parents and teachers. Maybe not this year Marley. What do you mean by that Rachel? Like there's not one student at this school who attends their parent-teacher conference even if it's the ones that they have for you like who cares Marley.

Even if it's one of those types of parent-teacher conferences where they have those paper packets. You must mean an IEP Rachel. Yeah, those, and I know how much you dread hearing about it. I still do dread it to this day. I'm just hoping that I don't have to go through the rest of the day hearing my teachers talking about this conference.

I have to live with this cloud of mine for the rest of my life and I just don't know what else to do Rachel. I've been dealing with this ever since kindergarten and it has been super limiting ever since now I still have to go through with this through college, and job hunting, and when I decide to leave this state it's still going to follow me wherever I go.

Just calm down Marley it's not the end of the world and besides, it's just only the second day of school. Just wait until it's the very last day of school. I know and then it will be the last year of junior high going into our last four years of school.  You know Rachel your right sometimes I just slip my earbuds in my ear and just listen to my iPod Nano to where I just go and tune out the entire world around me. Even your parents and sister. Yup, to where I just completely ignore everyone around me. Sometimes I might be with you guys and you all might be trying to get my attention but can't hear you or what your saying.
