What goes around comes around

The days were passing by, one after another.

Sunrise, noon, sunset, sunrise, noon, sunset. For me, it was a never-ending blur, because I lost count of all the dates. I was less and less in my apartment, falling asleep in the Hokage's office. There was so much to do, while the day of the ceremony was coming up mercilessly.

On the other day, Asumi stepped in, bringing me a lunch that she made, and asked if she could join me. I agreed politely, not seeing anything against the meal in a nice company.

We were eating, chitchatting a bit, while she suddenly put the box aside. She straighten up a little "Hatake-san, I would like to carry an heir for you. It would be an honor." she bowed slightly after saying that.

I blinked at her confused, and surprised at the same time, and put my food aside too. A kid? That wasn't a good idea at all, I wouldn't be a good father after all. I sighed lightly and tried to keep my composure as well as I could "My Lady, I'm afraid it wouldn't be a good idea regarding the fact that I'm not that much at home to help you. Also, if we'll split after my tenure who would keep the kid then?"

She frowned a little, but nodded taking a deep breath "I don't think you understood me Kakashi-san. I wanted to tell you that I am indeed pregnant. You will be a father, soon." she then clapped her hands happily.

I leaned back in my chair, surprised to say at least. How that was possible? Maybe her pills did not work as they should? Or maybe the condom broke? It doesn't matter now, I had to take care of her and our baby. I stood up and picked her up while swinging her around happily "We're going to have a baby!" I said happily.

She giggled cutely at that and hugged me "I knew you will be happy about that."

At this moment someone knocked at the door, so I pulled away from her a little but she caught my palm in hers "Come in"

"Kakashi" Naruto came in, devastated so I could read from his face. I looked at him surprised and left Asami's hand immediately, but then she held me even tighter.

I threw her a surprised look, but she smiled even widely "Oh Naruto, we have to tell you great news!" she beamed happily, and I saw he was even more miserable after that.

I rip my hand from her grip and came closer to him, putting my hand on his shoulder "I-" he sniffed a little "Hinata, she is-" his voice shook a little.

I was worried and scared at this point "What is wrong? Is she hurt? Did someone kidnap her? What happened?" I wanted to ease the pain for the love of my life, I wanted to help him so badly but this loud ninja was so quiet that it literally pained me.

"She, she..." he sobbed looking away "she, she lost it" he looked straight into my eyes "she miscarried, Kakashi" tears were rolling down his scarred cheeks and so my vision became foggy.

"And I'm pregnant!" Asami chirped happily from behind my back.

I stood up immediately, my eyes shooting daggers in her direction "ASAMI!" my rough voice boomed in the room "How could you?!"

She rolled her eyes "I told you not call me by my name Hatake-san! I will not ruin this day this way, I am sorry Naru-boo-boo. You'll get another one, whatever." and she passed us to the door.

I caught her hand and pulled back to face me "Get. The. Fuck. Out. Of. My. House. Understood?" I snarled at her through my teeth.

Asami giggled cutely and caressed my masked cheek with her fingertips "You will throw your baby out, on the cold pavement?" she clicked her tongue "I don't think you will" she smiled and got out, closing the door behind her.
