I must have forgotten to draw the curtains as the sunrays were quick to wake me from my light sleep. Jordan on the other hand lay motionless, even with the daylight illuminating the room. The time? 7am. It was far too early to be getting up on holiday, but there was no chance of returning back to sleep now.

I rose from the bed and headed for the garden doors still dressed in only pyjamas. It would probably be hours until the girls woke or the boys returned from their all-nighter, creating the perfect opportunity to spend a little time entirely in peace. I decided I would take the opportunity to read the travel guide of Bali that had been left on the counter on our arrival to see what things we were going to miss during our time here.
Rice Fields, temples. monkey forests, beaches, jungles and waterfalls filled the pages. It was a disheartening thing to do, reading a guide that reminded me of all the experiences I could have enjoyed. Experiences that came second to drinking and partying. Especially so as they were all within driving distance of the villa.
I placed the guide down with a sigh and headed back inside where everything still remained quiet. I had managed to pass two hours exploring Bali on the pages, to which it was now 9am, but still with no-one else clearly in a hurry to start their day, I begun to ready myself.

9:30am. Jordan was finally awake.
''Morning,'' he groaned.
''Morning,'' I replied.
''What time is it?''
''9:30,'' I stated.
''Bloody hell, you should have woke me,'' he said startled.
''You were clearly tired. Anyway, I'm not sure what we're even doing today,'' I said disappointingly.
''Are the guys not back?'' he asked.
''Not that I've seen,'' I replied.
He instantly looked lost and worried at the thought of being left with three females for the remainder of the holiday.
''I'll give them a call once I've showered.''
He got up and left the room leaving me to continue to potter around the villa.

10am. The morning was dragging.
''Any luck?'' I asked Jordan as he exited the bedroom.
''I'll call them now.''
The moment he dialled Mike, a loud vibration could be heard, breaking the silence of the villa. He was back. We made our way to the location of the phone, to find Mike and Mads splayed across the bed together in their full naked entirety. Evidently, after all the drama, everything was once again well.

Jordan smiled.
''That didn't take long,'' he laughed through a thankful smile.
I didn't see the funny side.
''It did not,'' I replied rather shocked, before rolling the door shut again.
They had clearly been up until early hours of the morning and all hopes of them waking in the near future for us to start our day quickly diminished.
''So, did you have any plans for the day?'' I asked.
''Not that I know of,'' replied Jordan.
Once again we were both left in the unknown.
''What if we arrange something for once and just let them know what we're doing when they wake?'' he suggested.
''What if they don't like it?'' I asked.
''They didn't think of that when they booked us the club?'' he replied
' Well you decide,'' I said nervously, placing all responsibility on him.
''I have an idea,'' he smiled confidently.

11am. Some movement. Finally.
It was a seriously slow start, but a start, nonetheless.
''Morning guys,'' announced Jordan. ''I thought we could go over Gili T today.''
''That sounds good,'' said Frankie more enthusiastically than I expected. ''They have a sea swing over there that I wanted to get a photo on at some point this holiday.''
''Oh great, so you're in?'' asked Jordan.
''For sure,'' shouted Frankie.
''We have to leave in about 45 minutes to catch the speedboat,'' he said.
''No dramas, we will be ready,'' she replied for the whole group.
She sounded incredibly accommodating since it usually took her an hour and a half to get ready. Must have been the photo opportunity.
''You alright Mike,'' Jordan said as he caught sight of Mike revealing himself from the bedroom doorway.
''Yeah, all good now thanks mate,'' he replied.
And that was that. As if nothing had happened.
