Chapter 10

" Do you think we should talk ? "

" We need to talk at some point "

Both you and Daniel speak at the same time, both smiling at each other as the connection between you was exactly like you left it. Thinking alike was one thing you and Daniel were proud to share growing up. You were most of the time finishing each other's sentences or knew exactly what the others were thinking just by looking at each other.

" We aren't going to do the " you go first, no you go first " we both know it will last forever and we will end up forgetting what we wanted to say, so please don't argue on this, you go first "

You remembered the old bickering, it was always hell to stop it once he had started, you two could go for hours, that's how actually how you shared your first kiss.

You were sitting down on the ground of his room, playing some video games and talking about each other's day like you usually do after a day at school that was more hectic than usual. Making sure to see each other everyday and talk like that was a ritual you and him unspokaly agreed on and could change the mood of your day. Sometimes being with him was the highlight of your day. No matter what happened during it, Daniel was always the one to bring the smile and the laugh out of you and you will be eternally thankful for that.

As usual you were fighting over and talking about something, speaking at the same time or talking over the other one sentence, today wasn't an exception.

" You go first Daniel come on, I was first saying it "

"No you go first, what you wanted to say is more important"

It went on and on for half an hour and the two of you didn't want to let it go, calling that being a gentleman for Daniel and a semi independent woman acting from you. The commun thing is that you shared that stubborn trait to add to the pride of not giving it up no matter the cost.

The moment your lips had met his, you regretted it immediately, but it was too late. You didn't know how to win and made him shut up so you found the quickest way. You didn't think it meant anything to you, it was a great way as well to get that " first kiss " ritual of passage out of the way. Who other than Daniel would have been the perfect candidate. You didn't see yourself doing this act with anyone other than your best friend, perhaps you should have asked him beforehand.

You hadn't thought in the instant, you just wanted him to shut him up, however when you felt him relax against your lips you didn't know how to react. Your eyes were still open and it was embarrassing at first, but then he shut them and kissed lips moved against yours. Daniel was properly kissing you now and you felt like your stomach was about to drop, your heart was racing so hard and it was feeling so natural and giving so much good sensation, that it was you turn for your eyes to close and let this moment be yours.

One of his hands covered you on the floor and the other one was quick to find the side of your face, caressing your cheeks before gently grabbing the nap of your neck and bringing you closer. Your best friend was properly kissing you now, and you were melting under his touch. He must have some experience in the area. After all, it was his flirty side acting, he was always like that with you and other girls, it was part of his charm.

You were completely losing yourself in him, nobody would have given you a better first kiss than him. When he was the one breaking it first you were whining, still living on a little cloud of satisfaction and true bliss, trying to lay on the sensation a bit longer, not wanting to open your eyes just yet. His voice was the reason for your sudden landing on planet reality.

" It was your first, wasn't it ? " His voice was cracked, probably from the kiss and his breathing wasn't back to normal yet.

You didn't need to confirm it to him, your eyes dodging his and your cheeks turning even or red. They were from the kiss when speaking for you. Daniel was looking at you in such a caring way that you thought he might add something you never dare to think.
