y/n's pov
"wait, there's no way."
"what?"
"you've never failed a single test?"
"not that i can remember."
"that makes zero sense. how?"
"i don't know, what's a failing grade?"
i paused in shock as he looked at me, a confused look on his face,
"are you kidding? say you're kidding."
i laughed,
"there's no way!"
i shoved his shoulder lightly,
"i can't believe it. you actually don't know what a failing grade is. the twins told me about that, but i didn't think it was true."
"it's true, one hundred percent."
i laughed lightly as i looked over at him, a small smile on his face as he looked back at me again,
"what?"
"nothing."
i looked back down at the homework in front of me,
"can you check this one for me?"
i handed shinsuke the paper, watching as his eyes scanned over the page,
"it's right."
"really?"
"yes. you seem to be picking up on it quickly."
"i'm pretty good at math, i'm really bad at traditional japanese though."
"luckily you already finished that homework, right?"
"mhm, i just have a few more things for math, then i have to study for my finals and i should be good."
i cracked my knuckles, going back to writing where i had left off. instead of just sitting around my house we decided to go to a cafe and he would help me finish up all the work i had missed, which was immensely helpful. since i had been gone for so long, i had to catch up and finals were coming quickly.
