And as it is, the great curse of the Pridelands had finally ended. My Father always said that this Land, just like it's creatures, has it's place in the circle of life. Scars treachery would leave a stain on the land, that if which would be hard to wipe clean. But all is possible when those who are working believe in what needs to be done.Simba and Heshima returned to the circle of life. Both had struggled greatly with what had been done in their pasts. While I didn't know Heshima very well, I knew my Father, and how much of his hauntings ate him up every day. Now he may finally rest. They're dynasties will rule their lands separately, and in peace at last.
Me and Kovu would assume the throne over the Pridelands, ushering in a new era of peace. Never again shall this land be so divided, rather, United in the many seasons to come.
Beshte, Bunga and Ono would remain in the Pridelands, somewhat taking over as the 'new lion guard'. Funny enough, none of them were lions, but they worked together and got along just as Kion did with his Lion Guard. They would safeguard the Pridelands, until a worthy leader would present himself to them, whoever and whenever that may be.
Azaad would turn away to travel lands vast beyond our comprehension. I guess Kion must have rubbed off on him and he understood the value of a mind and body at peace. Funny enough, in the short time I spoke to him, he bore a lot of similarities to my brother. Very few of us would ever see him again, as he would always be searching for the next great thing to calm his spirit.
Kion's cubs would continue to live with me and Kovu at Priderock until they would be of age to carry on their destinies. Every day watching them grow would be such a blessing, as they would grow to be much like their father. The strength, kindness, courage and ferocity of their father would grow in them every day. No one ever saw Fuli, Kion's mate after the battle. It is believed that she went to search for him after the battle was over, maybe she also believed Kion was still out there, somewhere.
As for my brother Kion, everyone has their own theories on what happened to him, but no one truly knows. Many chose to believe he drowned in the river, others believed that he succumbed to his injuries sustained to his mind and body. A few even believed that he escaped to start all over.
But I believe, that after the years of war and torment, his Soul may finally know the peace that he so desperately craved, and even fewer of us will ever know to look for.
