It was work with the gang, and he had come home late

At the start of the day, he had planned something extravagant for both of you.

But as time progressed, he slowly forgot.

He came home late, to find you crying in the room, a bouquet of roses in your hand.

He stared as you threw the roses at him, shutting and locking the door in front of him.

Stunned, he examines the flowers, to find a note.

'Happy Anniversary my love! I hope we get to spend today with each other and rekindle our love.'

Draken

He had already told you of the reservations he had at a really fancy restaurant.

As he came home, he had a tower of paperwork he had to do.

He didn't see you when he came home, assuming you'd gone out.

When you came home, 1 hour and 30 minutes later, he welcomed you, only to be pushed away.

"Excuse me?"
"You are excused."
"What do you mean?"
"If you're going to promise something, follow it up Draken."

That was the first time in forever that you'd called him by his name.

You stormed into the bathroom, running a hot bath.

He'd forgotten about you.

The flowers arrived a day late, the reservation was cancelled last minute, it was a day before your anniversary and he just.. forgot.

And it felt like he had a lack of care towards your relationship as it progressed.

He had so many things planned, but he eventually forgot in order to study for his exams.

He had drowned himself in so much work, he'd forgotten about you. He'd forgotten about everything.

He came home one day,  you had your head buried in the pillow.

He didn't know why, and just assumed you were on your period.

"Period again?"
You shook your head.

"You want me to be around you right now?"
You shook your head.

He turned to leave the room, just to head a faint;

"Happy anniversary Baji."

His eyes widened.

He'd made a dress for you, it was a pale white and it was adorable.

But it had gotten dirty and tore when he accidentally dropped his sewing machine.

He didn't know what to do and sincerely apologised, making it up to you with a picnic.

He wasn't around as much.

He had missed everything.

But you didn't expect him to miss your anniversary.

And he didn't even provide you with a reason.
