Welcome to arcane awards!

This is a special award, because it is my second award that I will be hosting and judging alone [yes, no judges, just me]. It's kinda a mini award but it will be genre-wise. I'll explain more later. If you wanna participate, please make sure to add this to your library, only then you will be able to receive updates when the award begins.

Please do participate in the tag fest, It is a must. You don't have to tag for all of the questions but a minimum of two present in the chapter you fill the form will do. It will bring a smile to someone's face.

I have republished this award, because the first time there weren’t enough entries to execute the rounds as I have planned.

. . .✎ The forms will be accepted genre-wise. Wait till your genre to fill the form and participate in the tag fest.

. . .✎ A minimum of 10 forms will be accepted in each genre.*

. . .✎ The judging rubrics and judging will be based on the reader's point and not the judge or another writer. The books will be judged based on ranks and compared like a reader and not judged individually. Only ranks will be given and not scores.

. . .✎ There will be different rounds and one/two books will be eliminated in each round based on the round.

. . .✎ In round 1—only the first impression [book cover and title] will be checked. Based on the first impression all the accepted books in a particular genre will be ranked and the books in the last two ranks will be eliminated from the competition. 

. . .✎ In round 2—only the blurb will be considered. The remaining 8 books that have passed will be ranked based on their intriguing blurb.** The last two will be eliminated in this round.

. . .✎ In round 3—only the opening chapters [the prologue, if available and the first chapter] will be considered. The 6 remaining books that have passed will compete with each other. The most impressive, intriguing, and exciting opening chapters** will secure the top ranks. The last one will be eliminated in this round.

. . .✎ In round 4—the overall plot and creativity will be considered. The top 5 books that have passed the previous three rounds will compete. The two books with the least impressive plots or least creative plots will be eliminated.

. . .✎ In round 5—the last and decision-making round, in which descriptions, dialogues, characters, and minimality of grammatical/punctuation/spelling mistakes will be considered. Everything that was left out in the previous rounds and the primal ones. The grammatical mistakes must be minimal to win in this round, I won't be checking for perfect grammar but minimal mistakes are fine.

. . .✎There will be prizes for both genre grand winners and round winners will be given after the result of the fifth round of each genre.

Note:
*not all genres will be accepted, I have a few preferences and I have a few genres that I am not comfortable reading.
**the grammatical mistakes won't be checked in the rounds before the last one, even if the consideration is a whole chapter.
