CHARLES CALVIN

Charles held his head as he got up from whatever position he was in, his head was hurting, bad. He doesn't remember when he ever had a headache this bad in his life. After a bit, the pain did numb, so Charles then got up from whatever he was laying on and began looking around. He didn't recognize this place, it was freezing.

"Inge su madre! It's freezing!" Charles exaggerated, he looked around and saw no one, nothing but white snow for miles, the sun making Charles feel like he's gonna get snow blindness. He began to slowly

"Okay, even though you have no idea where you are, just walk, maybe your body temperature will be nice to you." Charles told himself and began walking. It was still freezing, the air felt colder than before.

After a long ten minutes, Charles' vision was blurring up as a blizzard began to appear. Charles knew that it would be the end of him if he stayed out here, but who knows which direction he was going. He didn't have that fluffy jacket that he had when he went to pick up Henry, any time he was at the Wall.

All those times he went to help Henry escape for the crimes he didn't commit, he'd sometimes wondered how it would have been like if Henry was with the Toppats, but asked him to pick him up. He knew that he wouldn't have picked him up. Emerald eyes remembers those moments in his life clearly.

As much as he hates to admit it, he used to hate Henry, he hated how he kept on betraying them, how he kept doing selfish acts, but then, one day, Henry, he actually jumped into the helicopter, Charles almost fell out of the pilot seat because of that. He didn't expect him to actually do it, the world famous criminal jumped into the helicopter. Charles at first didn't want to get attached to him, but then, he couldn't help but congratulate Henry for his work.

It was a one sided talk, Charles rambled on and on about so many things, asking Henry questions about him, and at first, he thought that his ability was going to affect Henry, but again, to his surprise, he didn't trust the 16 year-old. It made him internally rejoice, knowing that this cursed ability was not affecting someone, and is actually able to earn trust!

...

"Hey Henry, I have a question." Charles said, already knowing that he won't get an answer from the selective mute, "How come you decided to help us? I'm sure the Toppats gave you a better proposition than freedom."

Henry began signing, Charles knew a little asl, mainly because when is mother was still alive, she was def, and so he had to learn the language. Sadly, she died before Charles knew how the language worked, unlike him.

He knew the language better since he's known their parents for 8 years, Charles missed him, he knew where he was, but, he never had the time or courage to see him. The 16 year-old was a government pilot, and he was a Toppat.

"I'm done being selfish." Henry signed.

...

Charles smiled at the memory, but it didn't last long, as he started to feel tired. He then tripped on a rock fell into the snow, he tried to get up, but he was too cold and tired to move. The tips of his fingers where purple as his blood started to freeze, numbing his hand. Last he heard were voices, but they were muffled, and then, he blacked out.

...

Was it a memory, or a dream? Charles didn't know because he didn't remember the is happening, but he knows something like it happened. His fathers abuse, his mothers death, his disappearance, it all happened in his memories or dreams.
