Lotor finished tying gauze around lance to stop the bleeding while no one notice their return. Lance winced at the pain but Lotor didn't seem to care much.
"It wouldn't be this bad if you didn't move around so damn much," Lotor said flatly.
"Thanks doc," lance glared back.
"Aye you got him back," Kuron waved from the other cell.
Lance looked at the madman and looked back down clenching his fists. He wasn't afraid of him but he didn't feel safe around the man that shot him and threatened his life once or twice.
"How far is your camp with your little ones?" Lotor asked quietly as he tightened the bandages.
"Not sure specifics but bout 30 minutes off the freeway heading towards dodge city, I'm not from around here so I dont know where I am mostly," lance ran his hair through his sweaty hair raising a brow at the long hair man.
"Where are You from? You sound like your from the north," Lotor tilted his head to the side.
"Guess," the Cuban smiled.
"Midwestern," Lotor offered. He nodded.
"I'm only guessing once but Illinois?" The Brit asked.
"Wisconsin," lance chuckled softly. Lotor raised a brow disbelief. "I was out over between menomonee falls and Hartford,"
"No clue," Lotor shook his head.
"Above Milwaukee," lance said flatly. He shrugged.
"I've only been to New York and Nebraska," Lotor turned away to wipe his hands off.
"Nebraska?" Lance snorted.
"Don't want to talk about it," he shook his head.
—
"Welcome back to the living," Keith looked over seeing Lotor bringing lance out to the others while Shiro was cooking.
"He's returned," hunk raised a glass with a smile.
"Doc here put me back together, sorry about earlier Uhh hunk, right?" Lance had a spare hoodie on to hide his bandages since he ruined the last one with blood.
"Yea, I mean I'd be freaked out if I was shot, brought to a cell, and couldn't see my family," hunk patted the spot on the ground next to him. Lance gulped a little and took the spot not wanting to pick a fight anymore. He was exhausted.
Lotor sat with Allura as she handed him a water as he tired his hair up in a bun to get his hair off him. He watched lance to make sure his bandages did their job.
"Now that you're not pointing guns anymore or crying, why don't we introduce everyone?" Hunk clasped his hands together with a smile and lance pulled the hoodie closer to his face nervously.
"I'm hunk, I use to go to culinary school," hunk started with an up beat attitude.
Lance looked at him but shook his head not wanting to go next.
"I'm Pidge, I use to be a freshman in high school," Pidge was on the other side of hunk and went for lance.
"I'm Shiro, I use to be a cop,"
"Keith, I don't trust the government and never had a credit card," Keith raised his hand and everyone looked at him confused.
"At all?" Shiro made a face.
"I had a debit card," Keith offered.
"I'm Lotor, I was a med student," Lotor pursed his lips looking down.
"I am Allura, I was a biology major," she smiled and Lotor glared at the ground a little. She should've lied like him.
Then it went back to lance.
"I'm lance, I was a marine biologist major," he mumbled looking down.
"And a Leo," Lotor grinned to himself. Lance covered his mouth with the hoodie to hide his laugh.
"Anyways," Allura sent Lotor a glare as he covered his mouth when he drank the water.
"You mentioned you have family correct?" She asked gently and lance nodded hopeful.
"I've been taking care of my niece and nephew, and my nephew is sick, they can't be alone," he explained but Keith sent Shiro a look and a small shake.
"He's sick?" Pidge felt nervous at that risk.
"Yea but he's not infected, it's been weeks since he caught a bad cold, if he was going to turn he would've by now," lance looked at them sharply a little as a warning.
"I can easily lead you to my truck, that's all I need to get back to them and the group," he told them softly.
"Dude you shouldn't be traveling long distance alone," hunk said worried.
"What if we got you to your truck and had someone else drive you to your group?" Shiro offered understanding the urgency.
Lance thought about it for a moment but nodded seeing that would be the easiest solution. He didn't really want to face that group again, they left him behind, left him for dead.
He's been on his own with the kids before, they'll be fine to do it again...
"Tomorrow?" Lance asked, it was getting to late in the evening, the sun would be going down within the hour.
"Perfect, you need some food in ya and a good night rest," hunk clapped his hands together happily and everyone agreed.
"Okay," lance pursed his lips nodding. He looked at Lotor worried still but the other man offered a kind look for reassuring him they'd get him to his family.
"Thank you for not leaving me, I'd be dead if it wasn't for you guys," he gulped looking at Lotor. He saved him twice now.
"Sorry my twin shot You, he use to be a felon," Shiro smiled back sweetly.
Lances jaw dropped shock.
"I got shot by a fucking felon?" He whispered in disbelief.
"So he has the morals to kill you," Keith agreed.
"That's not helping you two," Allura kicked at keith frowning.
"I went to jail once," Keith grinned.
"See that's different, jail is different than prison, everyone's been to jail," lance motioned to him dramatically.
"You went to jail?" Pidge smiled brightly.
"Under age drinking and public disturbance," lance nodded.
"Shop lifting and assault," Keith raised his hand.
"I like it," lance high fived him as they grinned at the chaos that was going to start.
