Lance held his keys in his lap as he sat in passenger seat of the vehicle while Shiro drove, hunk, Lotor, Allura and Keith were squished in the back with no seat belts on. Lance got the front when he pulled the 'I got shot by your guy' card one last time.

Lance was so excited to see his kids again, they were everything to him, they were the reason he's still going. He didn't know what he'd do without them.

"Alright back here, which truck is yours?" Shiro pulled up to the Walgreens where they met lance first.

"Blue pick up over there," lance motioned over and Shiro parked next to it. Lotor and hunk went to the truck as lance slowly got out of the car. He tossed the keys to hunk to let him drive as he moved to the other passenger seat and Lotor got in the back holding his shot gun. They were the best with medical so they decided to stay with lance while Allura and Keith would stay with Shiro.

"You think it's best to leave Pidge with kuro? She's the smallest," Allura asked as hunk started the truck.

"She's in the RV on look out, she could leave him if she wanted to, but he wouldn't kill her," Shiro waited watching the other males in the truck.

"How do you know?" She asked moved to the front.

"He said she's the only one he liked because of her sarcasm," Keith laid down in the back.

"I thought he liked Lotor the best," she chuckled.

"He's up there," Shiro nodded and hunk started to drive ahead and Shiro followed.

It was about a twenty minute drive on the freeway and they pulled off on the exit as lance gave directions recognizing some of the broken down cars on the side of the road. They drove for about another five minutes before lance told hunk to pull over.

"There's back roads far enough that you can't see the camp fires," lance pointed to a dirt road on the side and hunk pulled forward to start following the trail.

"How'd You find a spot like that?" Lotor asked sitting in the middle of the back seat. He saw food wrappers on the floor as well as coloring books and used face masks.

"My group already had it, someone's cabin is out here when they went hunting, don't know who though," lance explained keeping his arms crossed watching the road.

"Slow down," lance sat up closer to the dash board.

The cars slowed to a stop eventually and lance was the first out of the truck as he walked ahead.

"Nadia!? Silvio?!" Lance called loudly as everyone got out of the cars. They saw the multiple spots of ashed wood where the camp fires were, tire tracks, biter corpses on the ground.

"Silvio!?" Lance screamed louder as fear echoed in his voice.

"Oh my god oh my god oh my god they're gone, everyone's gone," he spun to the others wide eyes petrified.

Allura covered her mouth as lance started to check the corpses on the ground, he looked at each of their faces with trembling hands.

"Lance," Lotor stepped forward as the Cuban fell to his knees.

"I'm to late," lance whispered.

"Lance," Lotor knelt down to him.

Lance whipped around and punched Lotor across the face, he fell back from his knees and laid on his elbows with a grunt.

"I'm to late! They're gone!" Lance screamed at him. Lotor stared at him without anger or fear of his outburst, he stayed calm.

"I'm never going to see them again... fuck! I lost them! Because I was stuck in a stupid fucking cell," lance forced himself to stand again. A biter came from the woods but lance didn't hesitate to pull out his gun and shot it in the head with a sneer.

"Fuck," he growled tears in his eyes.

"Fuck man," he covered his eyes with a small whimper. He lost them. He failed his brother.

"Let's drive around and see if we can find any clues where they might've headed," Shiro helped Lotor up and lance glared back at him.

"Do what You want, just leave me alone," lance scoffed as he counted the rest of his bullets in his gun with narrowed eyes.

"Lance let us help," hunk stood in front of his truck.

"Your the reason I lost them in the first place!" Lance barked.

He stormed away cocking his gun as he walked on the dirt road, he knelt down seeing foot prints that were scrapping against the dirt like the biters do. He followed them back to the cabin near by.

"Hey lance, You need help finding them," Keith ran up to him.

"Stop," he grabbed his arm to get him to actually listen.

"These prints are fresh, someone's close," lance pointed.

"Those aren't children a feet," Keith looked at them.

"No, but it might be one of the fuckers that left me behind," lance started to walk again.

"Think rationally," Keith hissed.

"You wanna help? Have my back when I find whoever is here," lance glared walking onto the grass of the front yard where the hunting cabin was and a shed on the side.

"Guys," Keith called back for them to join.

"Someone's on the property," he told them as the others walked over.

"Alright, Allura and hunk check the second floor, Keith your on the first floor with me, Lotor and lance check the backyard see if there's any blood in the grass, I saw that tool shed too," Shiro stepped ahead to the cabin. Lance glanced at Lotor but crossed his arms looking down.

Once everyone went their ways lance and Lotor stayed still in the empty yard. Lance was silent as he kept his arms crossed.

"He did that on purpose," lance huffed.

"Pairing us together? Of course," Lotor touched his jaw where lance punched.

"Sorry I punched you," lance looked at him guilty.

"You pack a good punch," Lotor nodded.

"I understand lance, we're all human, let's just check the perimeter," he told him and walked to the backyard.

Lance followed behind quietly, he could feel the tension from the other man. He felt bad for swinging but he was terrified of the situation, Lance just wanted the kids back but he's been so rude and unnecessarily aggressive with the people that actually have been kind to him and saved him.

Lotor stopped him and pointed to the shed seeing a biter knocking around the door.

Lance pulled out his gun but Lotor shook his head. He whistled for the biters attention and it turned to the boys with a snarl.

Lotor pulled out his own knife and walked ahead to quickly stab it in the head and let it drop at his feet with a thud.

"Shh," he motioned lance to follow to see what was in the shed. Lotor grabbed the knife back and stayed ahead while lance raised the gun as backup in case something  came out.

Quickly Lotor opened the door raising the blade but froze.

"I'm living!" A boy quickly said with his hands up as he was hiding in the shed.

"What?" Lotor breathed wide eyes and looked back at lance.

"Silvio?" Lance gasped pushing forward as the nine year old was huddled in the corner with a bat in hand.

"Tio!" Silvio sobbed tripping over the blanket he had to get to his feet but lance dropped down to scoop up his nephew with a hiccuping cry.

"Tio they said you died! Lance I thought you were dead!" Silvio sobbed into his chest as lance held him in his lap like a toddler and rocked him crying silently.

"I'm here silv, I'm right here Amor," lance cried holding him tightly.
