"So I'm just going to be stuck in here forever or what?" Kuron groaned resting his forehead against the cell bars as Lotor brought him some food.

"Your the one that went feral, shooting up some kid," Lotor raised a brow at him.

"I have my reasons but if I give a sob apology you think my stick in the ass brother will let me out?" Kuro asked boredly and smirked at the other.

"Possibly you can try, but Kuron you can't be threatening lance now, and his nephew," Lotor told him with a small grin amused by the older man.

"Shit he got the kids back?" He asked impressed.

"Just one, can't find his niece yet, just don't go your usual violent self with the child, be civil and polite and quiet and maybe just maybe lance will feel okay with you being out," Lotor smiled at him with a nod.

"It's that little brat that's keeping me in here!?" Kuron yelled kicking the bar.

"You shot him darling," Lotor said flatly. "Twice,"

"And?! It wasn't personal!" He cried out but the Brit shrugged anyways.

"I'll tell Shiro your ready to come and apologize, it's up to him," the white hair male said calmly and left the criminal to his meal and went to fulfill his promise. Who knows maybe lance and Shiro will agree to let him out, if he watches his temper.

"Yea but then lance let me jump on those heel things on the back tire of the bike and had to petal away before Abuela caught us, we hid at my dads house for a week," Silvio ate a can of soup as everyone laughed in a circle with their sleeping bags close together in the same room, a lantern in the center for light.

"My mom is no better she would ground me for the power outages of the neighbor hood like every month," Pidge cackled.

"But weren't they actually your fault?" Hunk asked smiling at her.

"It's hard to find what you did wrong when your grounded from the experiments," Pidge defended.

Lance laughed with the others but couldn't help but look at his nephew seeing him eating and gave him half of his portion not knowing when the last time he ate. There was color returning to the kids cheeks and he was smiling again. His voice wasn't shaking so much and his hands were steady. He had some medicine in his body now and not sleeping in a car but in a real and a warm building. It gave him hope that Silvio would make a full recovery.

"Do you think you could bring technology back again?" Silvio asked Pidge wide eyes in awe hearing their experiments.

"Dude if I had the right shit, I could do something like that," Pidge snapped their fingers at him.

"Really?" Keith asked surprised.

"Listen I'm hell of a lot smarter than you know, I might be fourteen but I already had every Ivy League school after my ass," she grinned smugly.

"I'll keep that in mind," Allura hummed impressed.

"Hey guys," Shiro called over.

With Kuron standing behind him.

Lances heart dropped as he saw the man and scooted in front of his nephew with wide eyes full of fear.

"Kuron says he's ready to play nice again, I said once lance if comfortable with him out then I'll let him out," Shiro said glancing at lance carefully.

"But only if your comfortable lance," he nodded firmly.

Lance immediately shook his head.

"No i-I'm not, I'm sorry but I'm not with having Silvio too and-" "chill out kid," Kuron rolled his eyes crossing his arms.

"Your not comfortable then that's cool, I get it with your kid and all, I just wanted to apologize for lashing out and shooting you, I got a few screws loose so I take things to far, I'm sorry for that," Kuron explained as he looked at the Cuban, looking at the boy curiously as well. Silvio was confused but stayed within arms reach of lance.

Lance was silent and looked down nervously. He couldn't sleep knowing Kuron was in the same room. But all eyes were on him.

"It's fine, it's fine You can stay out," lance whispered.

"You sure?" Hunk asked surprised.

"He apologized, there's not much else to do," lance nodded with a soft smile.

"Thanks dude, glad we can move past it," Kuron sat on the ground with the others as Keith and Allura looked uneasy still with him. Allura was close to lance and gave him a reassuring smile. He gulped a little looking back at his nephew.

"You actually got shot?" Silvio asked.

"Yea but I'm better now," lance smiled down at him. "Barely hit me,"

Lotor frowned a little at that. It's been to days since lance was shot, his wounds is no where close to being healed but he barely even looked at them.

"Speaking of that, do you want to get the bandages changed?" Lotor asked and lance pursed his lips.

"I guess sure," lance sighed standing up to go back where all the medical equipment was.

Lance followed the taller boy to the cells where he stayed before. He sat down and took off the hoodie as he lifted his tee shirt sleeve to reveal the bandages.

"How does it feel? Burning or anything?" Lotor slowly removed the bandage and started to clean the dried blood and other liquids from the wound.

"Sore," lance didn't look at it.

"You think the lad is going to freak out when he learns how fatal the bullets were?" Lotor cleaned him off.

"I'm not going to let him worry about me, I can see him recovering now that we're not traveling," lance flinched when Lotor pressed against his wound to sanitize him.

"I am sorry about punching you earlier, I shouldn't have taken my anger out on you or anyone, I'm so sorry lo," he looked down ashamed as Lotor opened a new bandage to place on him.

"It's fine, wrong place wrong time, your little one is safe at least," Lotor shrugged it off. He only had a light bruise on his jaw.

"I need to get Nadia back too, she's to young to be alone in this world," lance sighed stressfully as Lotor tapped on the bandaged gauze on his arm.

"Can I ask what you would do if those kids were turned or did end up dead? What would be your next move?" Lotor asked curiously securing the bandage.

Lance didn't want to say it outloud but he knew his answer before Lotor finished the question.

"Either drive my truck off of the closest cliff or shoot myself in the head," lance said calmly.

Lotor paused and looked at the boy shocked.

"You'd kill yourself?" Lotor asked quietly.

"Why not, those kids are all I have, why would I want to stay in this hell of a life? I don't have anyone else," lance shrugged closing his eyes.

"I don't have anyone and I'm not-" "why does it matter? I could get bitten tomorrow and die? Why not do it myself and save someone else the bullet," lance stopped him quickly before Lotor could put in his opinion.

"Because you should live for yourself," Lotor frowned.

"I use too, went to a new state for college for myself, but that's all gone now, those kids are the only reason I'm going to keep trying, begging to live so they aren't stuck alone in this, this isn't a world that we were going to plan on," lance waved it off but lifted his shirt for Lotor to care for the side.

"I'm sorry," Lotor sighed a little.

This is the first time he's heard someone say they rather kill themselves than be in the world like this. It was a world he was guilty of creating.

"It's fine, I've had time to think, I've gone back and forth on the idea but when I realized those kids might be gone forever I decided on it," lance nodded thinking he was sorry for the thought of suicide.

"But hey I got one of my kids back, and the other one is a cute five year old that everyone adores, we'll find her," lance smiled brightly back at Lotor.
