'What am I doing? That girl is going to do nothing but cause problems for me in the end.' Eiven thought angrily to himself.
"Thinking about Miss Trent again cap't?" asked Felix knowingly. "If I may comment cap't, I think this girl is different."
"Of course she's different Felix, she's above us in standing." Eiven said bitterly.
"Now you know good an well that's not what I meant, I've seen you with the few women you've been with since we've sailed together. You look at this one different." Felix said, not letting Eiven's foul mood stop him.

"Felix she's just like any other girl. She's just more of a spoiled brat and not a whore." Eiven snapped back "she is nothing special to me. As a matter of fact as soon as we make port she's going off this ship. She's too much of a distraction."
"Well by all means Captain Blain, drop me off! I never asked to to be on your ship anyway." Ember said, her green eyes burning into Eiven.
Both men turned around with a start, neither one had even noticed her until she spoke. Even though she looked furious and slightly intimidating, something inside Eiven stirred. He wanted nothing more than to kiss that look off her face, but that would just prove Felix right.
"Seems like to me you should have thought this out a little more before you snatched me out of my life. Its not like I was about to announce my engagement or anything!" Ember huffed out at him "you just drop me off at the next stop and I'll handle my own! I would hate to cause any distractions for you Captain Blain."
With that last statement Ember stomped off leaving both men in shock.

What was she even thinking? Yes Eiven is amazing in his own mysterious way, yes he's the first guy to ever kiss her, yes he's giving her an adventure before she's married, and yes he's been nothing but a gentleman in a way and protect her. But he is a pirate, and he did kidnap her. Why was she allowing herself to have any sort of feeling for him, let alone kiss him back. Her mother would be so disappointed if she ever found out about her acting so wantonly.
At least she was getting off this ship and away from him though. To be sure it wouldn't be so hard to find her way home. But did Ember even want to go home? Did she really want to end up with Henry Strongberg for the rest of her life? The man was a poisonous snake and everyone seemed to know that except her father. She was supposed to marry the elder brother Erik, but rumor had it his disappeared. Most people said Henry killed him off, and with how ambitious the man was Ember didn't doubt it.
Maybe she could just disappear like that, change her name and settle down with a nice man. Have a little family and never have to worry about proper etiquette. Now this was something to look forward too!
