Eiven woke up with a pounding headache, surprisingly he was in his own bed. Groaning, he threw his covers off and let his feet connect with the ground. A slight movement in the corner had him whipping his head towards a sleeping Ember. What was she doing here? Wasn't she leaving? Had she come to beg for his forgiveness?
He highly doubted it, the girl was as stubborn as she was defiant. He gave a sigh as he grabbed the blanket off his bed and gently laid it on her. She gave a small moan of contentment as snuggled into its warmth, what he would give to be the one making her moan.
That thought froze him in his tracks, what could he possibly be thinking? He was simply supposed to use the girl and get rid of her. He was most certainly not supposed to have thoughts like that about her. Then again, he was the captain and she was his prisoner. The rules of the sea dictated he could do what he wanted with her, did he want to have her like that though? No, contrary to what she might believe he wasn't trying to completely ruin her life.
Right then Eiven decided she was going to stay with him, he would try to make up for the cad he had been being lately and begin to charm her. If he sent her back to her family noone would believe she had been untouched, her prospects would be very poor. Besides keeping her with him would forever ruin his enemy's plan. With this thought in mind he left his quarters to search for Colby.

Ember woke up to the door shutting, an amused Colby was looking down at her with a package in his hands.
"Sleep good princess?" He joked.
"I slept just fine, thank you very much." She said, pretending to glare at him.
"These are for you by the way." Colby said looking at her with a knowing look plastered on his face.
"What is that for? A going away present I presume?" She said with a smile.
"No actually, I think its an invitation to stay." He replied "Cap't actually sent me to get it."
Ember gave a slight pause "what if I don't want to stay?"
"I was kind of hoping you would" Colby said with a sad look on his face. "Just think about it."
With that he handed her the package and left her to think. Instead of thinking it over she decided to go see the man himself and see what exactly he meant with this package. Ember stood up out of the chair and set her sights on the door, taking a big breath she walked out to find Eiven.
She found him standing on the deck of the ship speaking to Felix with a very concentrated look on his face. Members of the crew all seemed to be busy making the repairs on the ship, now seemed as good a time as any. They wouldn't make much of a spectical if he said something to provoke her.
"Captain Blain may I have a word with you?" Ember spoke politely.
"Of course Miss Trent, one minute please." He said without turning to look at her and finished his conversation with Felix.
Eiven turned to her with a dazzling smile that would have made her melt any other time, but for now she needed answers.
"Would you like to talk here or in my quarters?" Eiven asked.
"Here should be fine, what is your meaning behind that package captain?" Ember asked meeting his eyes full on.
"Well I figured if you were going to stay aboard you would need a change of clothes among other things." Eiven said as if it was the most obvious answer.
"I'm not going to stay Eiven. I've been here long enough, I need to return home." Ember said, watching his eyes change from playful to slightly gaurded.
"Ah but see Miss Trent your not going home, your going to stay aboard my ship." Eiven said with a tight smile.
"I don't think I am, you can keep your clothes. I'm sorry you had to waste your money, maybe if you send Colby back now he can return your money to you." Ember said, raising her chin ever so slightly.
"I'm not returning them because your going to need them, your not leaving. This is the end if this discussion. Now if you don't mind, I have ship repairs to see too." Eiven said, giving her a look she would normally get from her father.
A look that would normally silence her and send her back to her room in defeat. Then again this man is not her father.
"Goodbye Captain Blain, I do wish you luck on your endeavors." Ember said with a smirk and she started to walk towards the rowboats.
A firm hand around her wrist and sharply pulled her back into a firm chest.
"And just what are you going home to Ember? No one will believe that you haven't been touched on this ship. Your previous fiance' will probably want nothing more to do with you. Your parents will be disgraced, at least staying here they can have the peoples pity instead of their scorn. What justice would it do for them for you to be returned? Your prospects are ruined Ember." Eiven whispered in her ear.
Embers breathing increased and tears threatened to escape her eyes, she jerked herself away from him and turned to face him. Once facing him she meant his gaze, his stone cold gaze met her broken one. In one smooth movement she brought her hand up and slapped him across his face. Nothing needed to be said, he could see her sadness in her eyes and feel her anger in the slap she had just delivered. She turned from him a walked a very quick paced walk with as much dignity as she could muster back to his quaters.
Little did she know, as much as his words had hurt her, the look on her face had hurt him.
