Danielle's P.O.V:
"GO AWAY DANIEL"
I muttered, trying to stay in Dreamland awhile longer. Saturday Morning, 7am and I was supposed to be on the road to Ohio with my mom and Kyle for our spring break.
Mom had taken the week off from work as well because it so happened to be her sister, my Aunt Caitlyn's birthday that week.I had gotten packed the night before when the gang came over to help (in true Fred Jones spirit). Truthfully, I didn't do much except watch Emily organize my small suitcase to perfection. She explained that if I were to pack myself, I'd shove my entire belongings into a backpack because I care little for my own things. She's not wrong.
In addition, Daniel and I argued about why I should and shouldn't go on this trip.
I didn't want to go because:
1. I would miss him for 7 whole days.
2. Ohio brings back too many memories, mostly bad ones.
3. A huge chance of running into my dad, and after 4 years, I'm still not ready for that.
4. I'd be cooped up in my room because I know next to nobody there now.
5. Most importantly, my old room would be way to small for me.Daniel however, countered my weak argument quite easily:
1. It would be good for healing.
2. It would help us with space and distance in our relationship.
3. I could make new friends and create good memories.
4. I could get off my sorry ass and actually makeup with my dad.
5. I'm exaggerating, my room isn't going to be that small.
6. Apparently, he had a surprise for me and he needed me away to get it done.Since his reasons outweighed mine, I agreed to go on the condition that he texted and video called me every day. I also didn't have much of a choice since my mom had already planned everything out.
At the moment, Daniel was trying to get me to wake up and I hadn't my 8 hours of sleep yet. He sighed, "Alright then, I guess I'll have to go with the hard way".
I stilled for a moment trying to comprehend his words when the covers were violently ripped off me and I was pulled to the edge of the bed.
I steadied myself and sat up on the bed, a frown evident on my face, while Daniel stood above me grinning like an idiot.
"What are you smiling at weirdo?". I narrowed my eyes at him. His grin turned to a mischievous smirk and his eyes shamelessly scanned me, making me feel slightly self conscious at 7am.
"Didn't think you'd like me seeing you in those pajamas so early in our relationship Ella" He commented, not taking his eyes off me.
I glanced down at my clothes and my eyes widened, "Oh my God you are such a perv".
He burst out laughing as I scurried into the bathroom. When I came out, there was a toothbrush in my mouth, the shorts were replaced with a pair of sweatpants and the tank top covered with a hoodie.
I saw Daniel roll his eyes lightly at my change of clothes as he sat down on my bed.
"How do you do it? Being so energized and alert at so early on a Saturday morning" I mumbled through a mouthful of toothpaste.
He scoffed, "I think the words you meant were 'How the hell do you look hot so early in the morning'".
I only rolled my eyes and disappeared into the bathroom, 'Well I'll tell you, it's all part of being a pro athlete love. I'm up early, get some exercise in, light breakfast, or none depending on the schedule, take a shower and boom, I'm ready to take on the world".
"But I never did all this when I was on the softball team, and I think I was pretty good" I said, spitting into the sink.
Daniel appeared leaning on the bathroom door, his arms crossed, "Yeah, good enough for high school softball Ella, plus you definitely don't need all that since you're already perfection to me. But honestly, I'm a professional Ella, high school softball isn't much compared to that baby".
