"Damn it"
Emily cursed under her breath. I held back a groan and stared up at Meghan who stood glaring at me with her arms crossed.
I forced on a fake smile, "Surprised to see you here Granger, it's barely first period".
Her scowled deepened, "Why? Didn't think I could study Anderson?".
"Not really, I thought you'd be off somewhere...you know, busy".
She smirked, "You thought wrong then, How'd you think I aced all those tests?".
She wasn't wrong. Meghan is actually really smart. Look past the bitchiness and you'll see a really intelligent girl. Shame I can't say the same about her personality.
She continued, "I happened to overhear your conversation. You're telling me that you only just begun to date Daniel? And I thought I was manipulative".
I rolled my eyes, "I don't see how that's any of your business Meghan. My personal life shouldn't interest you at all".
"It doesn't" She replied, taking a seat in front of me, "But a scandal is a scandal wherever you go. You basically lied to the whole school. I wonder if you're lying now".
I shook my head, "I never pegged you as a gossip Meg, humans these days... right?".
"And I never pegged you as a person who names stereotypes, but like you said...humans these days".
"Is there something you want from me Meghan?" I asked. I was starting to get frustrated with her presence.
She laughed, "Me? Want something from you? Only if I was dying Anderson. I merely overheard you and Emily and thought it would make for nice payback, after what you did to me weeks ago".
I scoffed. She was beginning to get old now, "Wow, so you can't sleep at night till you get back at me? Real mature Granger".
She was about to say something when Stella came in, "Meg? What are you doing?"
"Nothing Stella, just having a little chat with Danielle over here" She said, smiling sweetly.
Stella gave her a look, "I told you to let this go Meg, you're not going to gain anything from this feud or whatever".
Meghan flared up, "I'm not letting anything go Stella, She humiliated me, I want my pound of flesh". Then she turned to me, "Why'd you lie about dating Daniel?".
I crossed my arms and leaned back on the chair, "Seemed necessary since you couldn't get your claws off of him, but now, he's mine. Back the fuck up".
She chuckled through a glare, "I see, you're most definitely not getting away with this".
Emily then spoke up, "Away with what? Saving her friend from the Deathly Hallows? Hun' wake up and move on, maybe you won't look so much like Lord Voldemort if you do".
I held in my laughter as Meghan's anger riled up, "I wasn't talking to you Mona Lisa, mind your business".
Emily scoffed, " My business is anything involving my best friend. Deal with it".
"You know what Meg, I think you should calm down. Justin definitely has a spot where you can do just that in the Janitor's closet". I remarked.
Her glaze flickered back to me, "Real funny, but I get it though. I got a boyfriend normally though, unlike you, who has to play victim just to get every little thing".
At that, my own anger flared. I stood up and glared back at Meghan, "I want to reason with you Meg, but you're not giving me a reason to. This school's big enough for the both of us, so stay away from me and I'll stay away from you, no need to cross paths. Please go back to whatever it is you were doing and have a good day".
