Danielle's P.O.V.

"OW"

Emily squeaked as I toss her a bottle of orange soda that hits her square on the forehead.

"Sorry Em" I smiled apologetically, taking out some pineapple juice from the minifridge in her basement. I plopped down on the large sofa just as Sam and Daniel came down the stairs with bowls of snack.

"Alright game night, been looking forward to this all month long" Sam yelled as he sat comfortably next to Emily on the love seat.

Once a month, Sam, Emily and I gather of each other's houses to play different games. It's like our way of hanging out, like a day without technology and all that. Emily decided to invite Daniel, even after my numerous pleading ms forget not to, claiming that it'll 'bring us closer'.

Emily rolled her eyes and shifted in her seat, "Shut it Sam, it's just 4 o'clock in the afternoon, this can't be game night, use your brains asshat".

Sam scowled, "I wasn't talking to you Emilia, mind your damn business okay?".

"Don't call me Emilia, Samuel" She snapped.

"Or else what, huh Emilia?" He challenged.

Then I spoke up, "Okay what's been going on with you two? You're always bickering, always fighting, and none of you think to tell me about this....there's four of us guys, not just the two of you, so please stop keeping this from us. From Me".

"This is none of your business Danny, just let it be okay?" Emily said, stomping off up the stairs, probably to her room, while Sam just pulled out his phone.

I turned to Sam, "Harper, something you'd like to share?".

He just shrugged and shook his head. Frustrated, I motioned to Daniel to move to where I sat and whispered, "I'm gonna go upstairs and try to get Emily to talk, do me a favor and try to do the same with the big guy please? Alright? Good, see ya".

I was about to get up when he yanked me back to my seat, "Are you seriously leaving me with....him right now?" He asked, nodding in Sam's direction.

I smiled sweetly at him, "Oh come on Daniel, just do this for me please, I can't do this alone, in case you haven't noticed, I'm just one person and there's two of them".

He sighed, "Okay fine, I'll do my best but-" His lips lifted into a smirk, "What's in it for me?"

I punched his shoulder playfully, "Damn you are such a pervert, I really do hate you" He stuck out his tongue at me, "There's nothing in it for you except the satisfaction of you get from helping a friend. Thanks Daniel, you're the man" I sprinted up and out of my seat, making my way up the stairs and into Emily's room.

There she was, on her bed, her head buried between her legs, her mom trying to comfort her. When her mom, Lacey, saw me, she walked towards me, "I really don't know what's wrong with her, She's never this sad, help me out here".

"Neither do I, but I'm determined to find out, thanks for staying with her". I smiled at her.

She returned the smile, "I'm her mother, it's my job". And she walked out of the room.
