Narrator/Middle of the city... 2 weeks later...

Not many people came out to the funeral this morning. Simply because, not many people were on good terms or have even heard from the victim in a while.

The people who did attend were strongly hit and hurt by the passing. Many people couldn't bare to even view the body.

As for Teyana, she was currently indicted. After pulling the trigger, she wouldn't speak to the police so they simply accused her of murder. It wasn't really accusing, because she did do it.

She was struggling with speaking to her paid lawyer. Her dad had made sure to get her the most trustworthy and expensive lawyer in the state. He couldn't afford to lose his baby girl.

Everyone was confused, in fact. They had no clue what had happened, but they knew that it had to be a back story. She wouldn't just...shoot someone for no reason.

Teyana/Prison...2 months later...

"You got to speak to me about it. Or you gone be in here for life, Teyana." This annoying ass lawyer repeated for the 10th time.

Regardless on how my sentencing went, I didn't even know what I would say. I shot, and it's my fault. Just give me to death penalty, make shit easier for me.

"I-" The bitch was cut off by a officer stepping in and gestured for her to come over to the door. She gave me a stern disappointed face, as if I wouldn't hop over this table, and walked over to the officer.

They began whispering to eachother and I could tell that Attorney Williams, the lawyer bitch, was upset because she started raising her whisper. The officer shrugged his shoulders before she walked over at sat back in front of me, annoyed.

"you have a visitor." She looked down at the table, shaking her head. I knew she was upset that her time with me was cut short, yet again. But aye, not my fault people wanna see me.

I smiled as the officer helped me up out of my seat and loosened the cuffs a little bit, not taking them off completely. Attorney Williams simply shook her head again and began putting all of her papers in her briefcase.

"chill the fuck out." I hissed at the officer as he roughly and very aggressively pushed me out of the door and into the visitor room.

When I get out, Khi gone kill this bitch for me. On god.

I often thought about Mekhi while I was in here. It's only been 2 months, and he still hasn't came to see me. I miss him, but he's probably busy. I don't know.

Delano came to see me, twice. I didn't even want to see him, but he still came...regardless. He tells me he misses me but news always gets out about him fucking other bitches and shit like that. He's weird.

"Hey, Tee." I looked up from my ugly ass jail slippers, to see Yari sitting at a table in the back of the room. The officer removed my cuffs and I slowly walked up to the table, and sat in front of her.

"Hi."

I didn't want to see her. The first time she visited, I caused a scene and told them to get her out of here. She didn't even try to explain, she left me here. She even shot a bullet as well, and of course she didn't tell her side. She should be back here with me, stupid ass hoe.

"Listen, Tee. You gotta talk. You have to. I don't want you to be in here forever. Your friends miss you. Just...please." She didn't even seem convincing.

"What did you do to my brother? Why did he so desperately want you dead...it should've been you." I stared directly into her eyes. Yari had this thing where I could tell if she was nervous or not through her expressions, and right now she was TERRIFIED.

"Well." She took a deep breath and started playing with her fingers.

Hurry the fuck up.

"We...we had a child." Yari started making my eyes widen as I sat up straight, engaged in the information.

"I-it was a while ago...w-while Aisha was alive." She continued and my heart dropped.

"It was an accident. I swear. We dated in 8th grade then came across eachother one night in our senior year, while blackout drunk. And it happened. Our baby was born."

"Where...where is the baby?" I stared at Yari. I felt bad for Aisha, even though she didn't know. I don't think she did...

"I don't know. He was taken from me when he was only 7 months. Then when Ayden finally decided to step up to the plate but found out I lost custody, he lost his mind and threatened to kill me. And ... that's where you came in. I guess." She quickly wiped the tiny tears that were filling her eye's creases.

"I-..." I started but couldn't find the words, so I just stayed quiet.

"You don't have to be sorry, trust me. It's all my fault. And I'm sorry for being there seeing you kill someone who you loved so dearly. I know you and Ayden were on bad terms when you shot him, but that doesn't make it okay. It should've been me." I could tell that this was hurting her, terribly.

"Maddox. Time's up." A officer came over and pulled me up. I gave Yari a tight hug as she followed through with it.

"I love you, Yaya. I promise I'll make things right." I whispered in her ear before my arms were pulled away and put into hand cuffs behind my back. As the officer turned around, I dropped my head to my feet feeling my heart shatter.

Poor Yari. Poor Ayden. Poor Aisha. Poor everyone.

Mekhi/home...

Mekhi's overly drugged body sat on the floor of his bedroom's connected bathroom. He was surrounded by spilled pill bottles and a empty cup that was once full of lean.

His hands trembled as he loaded bullets into his pistols. Was he really ready to do this?

He couldn't live without Teyana, and knowing that she could possibly be in that prison for the rest of her life really hurt him. He didn't want to live without her, and he wasn't going to.

As soon as he was done, he laughed to himself and pointed the gun to his head. He took 4 deep breaths before...

DING

Someone rung his door bell. "Fuck they want, man." He got up from his spot, sitting the gun on the bathroom counter. As he was walking downstairs, he felt his body going in and out of conscious.

DING

"H-hold tha...fuck-"

Mekhi's body fell limp onto the steps. Everything went black.
