Teyana/Home...
"Do you have your chargers? What about your toothbrush?" I panicked as I walked back into Mekhi's bedroom seeing him take a hit from his blunt.
"Chill, you acting like my ma-" Mekhi started but quickly stopped, standing up and putting out his blunt before closing his suitcase up. I knew he didn't like talking about his mom, so I didn't react.
When Mekhi was only 15, his mom and dad had walked out of his life. They'd fell in love with the idea of lottery fraud and vandalism. So, they had to make a sacrifice...either let go of their chances of eternally getting bunches of money or their son. Obviously, they chose the money. They left him a note before they left.
Other than that, they'd always loved him carefully. He always got what he wanted and more, they had a huge estate that was bought in full and expensive cars. Everyone always wondered when and how they had the money for this, since neither of them worked. But nobody knew.
"You ready?" He snapped me out of my thoughts by hugging me from behind and grabbing the bags out of my hands.
"yeah, sorry. Do you have your-" He cut me off. "yes, I have everything. Can you relax? This supposed to be a chill weekend and you making it difficult, ma." He chuckled, before kissing me and walking out of the house as I followed him, locking the door behind us.
"I knoww," I dragged. "But, I just really want to make sure I'm not the only one having a good time. I love seeing you guys happy, too. So, please don't get mad at me if I act like a mom the whole trip." I laughed, sitting in the car plugging up my phone to the connected aux cord.
He just chuckled as I turned on Black Cloud by Youngboy, and we sung together as we drove to the airport.
Young rich nigga need to buy me some land
Real gold digger, she don't need no man
She so thick and the tone of her skin
Make a nigga wanna try dating again____
"Wake upp, ma. We here." Mekhi gently pushed at me, trying to wake me up. I turned over in my seat, laying my head back on the window and closed my eyes again, falling back asleep.
"mmcht." Mekhi sucked his teeth seeing that I wasn't waking up before he reached his hand back and smacked my ass really hard.
"OUCH, MEKHI!" I yelled, slapping his arm as he rubbed it, laughing. We had just landed in Miami, and I took a deep breath before standing up and attempting to grab my bag but Mekhi smacked my hand and grabbed it for me. He was such a aggressive romantic.
I had sat in the window seat with Haven directly beside me, and Aisha on the outside seat. Aylo, Ten, and Mekhi had sat together. I was clearly upset about Rev not being here, but I tried not to show it. Besides Temari, he was the closest dude to me who I didn't see sexually. I loved our relationship, and it felt like we were blood. I didn't like not being in contact with him for so long, and I really hoped that one day he would come back around.
"You okay?" Haven walked up beside me, dragging her suitcase behind her as we walked away from the baggage claim area. "Yea." I shrugged, I knew that she knew that I was lying.
"No you're not...are you upset about Kentrell? He'll come around, eventually. Your birthday is tomorrow sis, have fun." She jokingly danced her shoulders against mine, as I chuckled and walked looking down at my feet. I was going to have fun, whether he was here or not. But, I knew that I would feel guilty if I didn't think about him.
When we got outside of the airport, we looked around for our rental truck. I recognized the tag number from the one that was in the email, and I pointed at it. It was a super shiny snow white 2021 Cadillac Escalade. Everyone cheered and ran up to the car, throwing their stuff in the huge truck before hopping in. I decided I wanted to drive, and Mekhi sat in the front seat with me.
