Chapter Two: The Weekend

Dakota's POV

I walk into lunch talking to Cassie, she laughs at a joke I made and I can't help but feel my heart swell at the sight, she's so beautiful but she's more than just her looks I mean she's hella smart, cool, funny, cute as in like her actions and how she speaks

"Hey earth to dumbass I need to talk to you" Maddie says taking me out of my thoughts about Cassie, I shake my head confused as I look at Maddie

"What" I say in a confused tone, Cassie laughs a bit and I smile at her before Maddie pulls me close and whispers in my ear

"We won't be fooling around anymore, Nate and I are back together so don't try anything" Maddie says and I laugh and roll my eyes before pulling away

"I won't" I say giving her a smirk and she just pushes my head away before getting up and sitting with Nate

I smile at Cassie and she sends one back before I start talking to Kat about random shit

Cassie's POV

I watch as Dakota talks to Kat and I can't help but smile as how her lips move and how animated she is sometimes when she's telling stories or jokes

I sigh sadly and look at my phone and see a text from McKay

McKay🏈🥵❤️: We still in for this weekend Cas

I smile and reply back yes and put my phone away, I love McKay and he's been so great to me but then I'm around Dakota and I feel so amazing and happy I mean she truly sees me and I love that about her

I pick at my food and just listen to Kat and Dakota joke around at lunch, I've lost my appetite thinking about all of this

"Hey you ok Cas" Dakota says making me look at her

"Yea" I say softly, hoping she'll just drop it

"Well are you hungry, you haven't eaten yet" She says causing me to smile

"I'll eat I promise Kota" I say sweetly, I see he smile adoringly and I do the same as she goes back to talking to Kat but I feel a hand on mine under the table

I look to see her hand there and I smile and start eating while I play with her rings, see this is why it's so hard to have feelings for her when I love someone else well I fell like I do

Dakota's POV

I sit in Cassie's room as she gets ready, she's heading off with McKay which hurts but what can I do, she's dating him and he's in college

"Be safe sweetheart, and don't get pregnant" Her mother says causing me to cringe as I look at my phone

I look up to see her mother looking at me with a knowing look before leaving the room, we walk Cassie out and she run off to McKay's car causing me to roll my eyes, you can't even get out to greet her mom dickhead

I watch as Lexi shakes her head at Maddie and Kat mimicking them having sex behind us, I laugh at them and watch as Cassie leaves, I sigh and look at everyone

"So ima head out but I'll see you guys later ok" I say as I get my car keys out but soon I'm stopped by Cassie's mom

"Girls go inside, I gotta talk to Dakota" She says and Maddie and Kat ouuuuuu before walking in with Lexi

I look at Cassie's mom who smiles at me and hugs me, I hugs back a little caught off guard but it's very welcome given that she's been there for me for so long

"Sweetie just know that my daughter will get out of this thing with McKay and she'll be with you I know it" Cassie's mom says causing me to laugh

"She's happy with him, but if fate brings us together then I'll accept it" I say and she nods as she takes drag from her cigarette

"Exactly but in the mean time you don't let him or that asshole Nate Jacobs bug you and you continue to grow and do you, if you don't I'm whoopin your ass" She says and I smile and hug her goodbye before getting in my car

I look towards her and smile before tossing her a pack of cigarettes causing her to smile as I drive off, I hope she's right because I seriously want her all to myself

Time skip

I text Fez and try to help him with the whole Rue situation as best I can, I don't fuck wit Rue that much because of the drugs she takes but I did help with the bill for her mom since she fed me a few times when I was little because I couldn't cook on my own

I hear a knock at my door causing me to get up and head downstairs and look outside to see Quincy standing there causing me to open the door and look at him weirdly

"Surprised your here"I say confused

"I'm not here because I wanna cause issues........I wanted to see you" He says and I just roll my eyes

"Yea right, why  are you actually here for" I say causing him to sigh

"Mom and Dad wanna see you" Quincy says and I just raise my eye brow

"So the sperm donor and Egg Hatcher wanna see their freak of a child.....hell nah I'm good" I say as I go to close the door but Quincy puts his foot in the door before it can close

"Just come see us man, they miss you and wanna know how you are" He says and I just open the door back

"They said they were done with me and I made peace with it so they can stay over there and keep brainwashing y'all  and I'll stay over here and hustle and build my empire got it" I say

"I always knew you was a spoiled little bitch" Quincy says and I laugh and look away before punching the shit out of him causing him to fall

"And I should have known you were a weak ass bitch ass nigga, get the fuck off my property before I beat yo ass some more" I say before kicking him away from my door and slamming it, I put the security on and watch as he gets up defeated and walks back to his car and drives off

Fuck that bitch ass family
