Chapter Three: The Carnival

Dakota's POV

I cuddle with Kat on my bed as I read the book I'm currently reading, I hear my phone ding constantly and I put my book down and look to see it's my sister and my brother causing me to roll my eyes

"Who is blowing your phone up like that" Kat says as she looks up at me, I sigh and turn my phone off before turning to my book again

"It's my siblings, hey won't leave me the fuck alone but hey don't we gotta head to the carnival" I say as I get up and head over to my shoe rack

"Yes but dint change the subject Kota......maybe it's time to talk to them I mean it's been a year" Kat says and I huff out a breath and put my shoes on

"I'm not setting myself up Kat.....this could be a trap and I'm not gonna fall for it....look I don't wanna talk about this shit let's just go to the carnival and you can meet up with Jules and see your new boy toy" I say as I turn our and tease her causing her to blush

"Shut up let's go asshole" Kat says as she hooks her arm around me and we head to my car, we get in a head off to the fair, we get there and Kat heads off to meet Kat and hopefully run into Ethan

I walk to where Fez and Ashtray are working and walk in through the back

"Sup Fez...bad ass mothafucka" I say to Fez and Ashtray who just nods his head and goes back to what he's doing

"Sup Dakota.....you here for some weed or just to visit" Fez says as he pours some powder in a container

"To visit but some weed would be nice but not here alright, I'll text you" I say and he nods before walking out, I walk out with him and dap him up and wish him so luck before walking off

I see Maddie and Nate arguing causing me to just smile amused and go play some games, I know I'm playin by myself but I mean I've been by myself for years

I play some games and win some prizes before I start heading back to Fez's food truck where business is boomin, I walk in and wash my hands before puttin gloves on

"You helpin out with this shit" Ashtray says as he gets some Molly and a pretzel ready

"Hell yea man, your swamped and maybe I want a cut" I say jokingly and he shakes his head as I take orders and help him out

After a while I look around and I see Cassie walking away as McKay chases after her, I watch closely and I can see that Cassie's upset

"Dude if you keep staring at her, this money gin slow down" Ashtray says and I look away from Cassie to him

"Man I'm just watching out for her" I say as I do more orders but I periodically look up to check in the situation

"Man all I know is that you been wantin his girl since forever and if you don't get her already then she not gonna be yours, real shit" He says and I sigh as I watch McKay walk off

"You good while I go see if she's ok" I ask him, he nods and I thank him before takin my gloves off and walking out the truck

I walk to where she was but I don't see her, I sigh heavily as I start to look for her but I don't see her which makes me sigh heavily

I turn around and see Maddie and Cassie walking together causing me to nod and breath a sigh of relief, ok at least she's ok

"Hey sis" I hear behind me, I turn around to see Quincy and my sister Anastasia standing behind me

"Fuck do you guys want" I say irritatedly

"We want you to come home, mom and dad miss you and so do we" Anastasia says pleadingly and I just scoff

"Not gonna happen, they ain't shit and neither are y'all" I say and I go to leave but I feel a tight grip on my arm causing me ti turn around and see Quincy gripping my arm

"Don't walk away from us, we just wanna fuckin talk" He says and I rip my arm away and grab him by his shirt and pin him to the nearest port a potty

"Mothafucka you got one more time to touch me like the before yo ass is six feet under, what is the real reason y'all want me home" I say, Quincy glares at me as I slowly let him go but I remain in his face

"Our parents are getting old and they wanna make amends so they want you to at least come visit the house" He says

I look in his eyes and see not hints of him lying causing me to just nod

"I'll see what I can do but no promises not get the fuck out my face both of you" I say and with that I walk off

I walk over to where I see people crowding and I see Maddie and Nate walking off but something didn't feel right, I got to flow them but I look over to the Mary go round and see Cassie

I walk over to her relieved but soon I see her grinding on the horse and she's very clearly not sober

Oh shît

A/n ok so I updated after being yelled at by three people so I hope y'all like it, this Carnival episode was insane and it's going to be a more interesting chapter in my other book so yea read that one too if y'all want and sorry this one is a little shorter, I didn't realize that until now lol my bad
