The train ride home was awkward. For me anyways. Knowing that my brother and one of my best friends are dating and the fact that they didn't tell me... That Scorpius didn't tell me, it makes me feel like I'm not trustworthy.
I am on the verge of tears when the train comes to a stop. I rush out of the compartment that my friends and I were in and I go to meet my brother because he was sitting with his Slytherin friends, minus Kim because she was sat with me, and Scorpius promised that we would walk to meet our parents together.
I met up with Scorpius near the door to exit the train. I tried my best to hide my feelings about him not trusting me and I did pretty good in front of my friends but I couldn't fool my brother. And trust me he noticed then we started to walk off of the train.
"Gelina are you okay?" He asked with a concerned tone in his voice.
"Never better. Why?" I almost chocked on my words as I said them.
"No you're not. Gelina I know you, I know when something is bothering you. Now don't lie to me. What's wrong?" He didn't say it sternly but I knew I couldn't keep the secret about him and Kim much longer.
"Okay, it's about you and Kim."
"About me and Kim?"
"Yes that you guys are dating. I saw you kiss her in the entrance hall before we left for the train."
"Ohh, you saw that did you?" He sounded a little ashamed but I didn't pay no attention to it. I don't mind them dating but I just wanted him to tell me about it.
"Yes. But I don't care that you're dating my best friend. It just hurts me that you didn't tell me about it. Am I not trustworthy enough with this information."
"I didn't tell you because we didn't make it official yet and I didn't want mum and dad to know yet. I wanted to wait for the perfect moment to tell everyone."
"Ohh.... Well that doesn't make me feel so bad but you can still trust me with secrets, I promise I won't tell mum and dad I'll leave that to you."
"Tell mum and dad what?" My dad chimed in I guess we didn't realize where we were going until he spoke.
"Nothing. We're just glad to be home for the holidays" Scorpius said. Trying to cover up what we had been just talking about. Luckily Dad didn't notice anything. Then we all went home to put up our Christmas tree.
*******at home*******
Scorpius and I were decorating the Christmas tree. It's kind of a tradition in this house. Every year Scorpius and I would decorate the Christmas tree as Mum and Dad bake gingerbread cookies in the kitchen, than when we were finished Dad would come in a lift me up to put the star on the tree, it was always my job since the day I could walk, then the whole family would sit around the tree and enjoy a cup of Butterbeer and the cookies that were baked, then off to bed we went. But this year it was a little bit different. Dad was stressed out about something, though I couldn't figure out why and Mum and Dad won't tell me.
With the tree decorated and the star on top. We sat down on the couch admiring the work that we had done on the tree while drinking our Butterbeer and eating our cookies. Then Mum and Dad drove us to bed, so Santa Clause could bring our gifts. So up to bed we went full of excitement to see what Gifts we would receive from Santa.
******christmas morning*******
I was the first one up, as usual, so I headed downstairs to the living room to wait for the rest of the family. But then I looked at the time and noticed it was 2:00 AM. So I took a nap in the couch.
Before I knew it Scorpius was shaking me awake. "Come on, Gelina wake up, Mum and Dad wants us to open our presents."
"Okay, okay. I'm up. Now stop shaking me."
"Alright open these first they're from your Mum and I" my dad said. He handed both of us a small box with our names on it. I was so excited, I couldn't wait to see what it was.
When I opened the box there was a bracelet it looked gorgeous.
"It's a Pandora bracelet Gelina. I have it charmed so that every important thing that happens in your life, a charm will appear on the bracelet. Just put it on a see what happens." My dad seem very enthusiastic about this so I put on the bracelet and I see a little golden snitch charm appeared. I could help but give him a hug. This has to be the best gift a girl could ask for. Scorpius got a necklace that does the same thing as mine. A golden snitch showed up on his as well as a few others. I looked down at my own bracelet and also notice that a charm that looked like a stack of books had appeared.(if you haven't found out by now I am very smart).
Out of all the gifts I opened my two favourite gifts are my charm bracelet and a new Firebolt 3000 from Grandma Malfoy. I guess Dad had told her that I made it on the Quidditch team. Scorpius got a new broomstick last year for getting on the team too. But this year he only got things to keep his broom in good shape like broom polish and things like that.
Later that night I got the best gift of all. It was a teddy bear, which isn't all that interesting but it was who it was from that made me love it so much. The gift was from Ginny Potter. I almost jumped through the roof when Dad gave me the gift. Let's just say that I will take the bear everywhere and I will never forget who gave it to me.
