The first Quidditch game of the season

**the next day**

As I walked into the Great Hall on this gorgeous Saturday morning, I could smell the sweet smell of french toast and eggs. Mmmmm, my favourite.

I sat with my friends and my brother since the house were allowed to sit at other houses tables on the weekends. So we all sat at the Gryffindor table today and next week we'll sit at the Slytherin table and so on. Kim and Cynthia were sat next to me with Scorpius and Leah on the other side of the table. This is the first Quidditch game of the season, and is Slytherin versus Gryffindor.

"So, Kim, Scorpius, how did Quidditch tryouts go?" I asked

"Great, sis, Kimberly and I both got on the team how did your Quidditch tryout go, I heard that three of you tried out."

"Yeah we did. Gelina and I got on the team, but Cynthia didn't this year." Leah said.

"Oh really what positions are you playing today?" Kim asked

"I'm playing seeker" I said excitedly

"And I'm playing chaser. How about you guys?" Leah asked.

"I'm playing seeker." Scorpius said. But his position didn't surprise me. He was on the team last year as seeker.
"And I'm playing beater." Kim said so excited that she almost fell of her seat.

"That's amazing, and may the best house win." I said. We all shook hands and promised that no matter how the game ends we will all still be friends.

After breakfast all the house made their way down to the Quidditch pitch while the Gryffindor and Slytherin Quiddtch teams went to their dressing rooms. I feel nervous not only because the game that will be happening but the fact that my dad is in the stands to watch my first Quidditch game and Ginny Potter of the Holyhead Harpies is also there to watch her son James play.

The game went on for about an hour until Scorpius and I caught a glimpse of the Golden snitch. So it was just me and him neck to neck for the game. In the end I ended up catching the snitch and won 150 point for Gryffindor. The stands went crazy except for Slytherin house. Most people in Slytherin don't like to lose. But I'm glad that I have Scorpius and Kim so at least I have some friends in another house.

I spent the rest of the day studying and being congratulated on winning the Quiddtch match for Gryffindor. But it was a close game. Gryffindor won 170-150. After I was finished studying in the library I went back to the common room and got a good nights sleep.
