A/N: Guuuuuuuys!
Hello! Long time no...see? Speak?
Here is chapter 24 at last! You have no idea how hard it's been to write this chapter. I'd rewritten it about five times since May. I struggled to high hell to get it right but I've finally done it and I'm actually now happy with the result.
So, without further ado, I hope you all enjoy!

An eternity seemingly passed as Weiss and Ruby continued to show each other how much they truly missed and loved one another. It wasn't until the young faunus felt a strange but pleasant sensation tickling her hands, her Grimm counterpart more specifically. She pulled away from the white-haired girl, a look of confusion on both of their faces until ice-blue eyes settled upon red and silver. Or rather, what was supposed to be red and silver but were in fact glowing in the same ethereal way the pool was.
A gasp left Weiss' throat, startling the younger girl out of her own shock and wonder. She reacted much the same as her partner but also decided to voice her wonder.

"Weiss, your eyes are glowing..." she whispered so only her partner could hear her.

"Really? So are yours...and my hands are tingling." Came the equally whispered reply.

"Mine are too. It's strange but it's nice." Ruby responded, lovingly staring in wonder at her girlfriend.

The white-haired girl reluctantly tore her eyes away from her faunus partner as the tingling intensified, travelling up into her chest and out through the remainder of her body. Once more, Ruby gasped, as did the audience they had both forgotten were even there as Weiss looked down at their joined hands.

They too were glowing, Ruby's Grimm arm more so than anything else and Weiss watched as it slowly morphed back into a normal, fleshy and warm hand. One she grasped tightly as tears began to flood her eyes.
Now she understood what was happening. Her special abilities had been awoken, abilities she wasn't even aware she possessed until now. Her undying love for her partner was partly responsible for their awakening, the other part she had no clue about.

Regardless of the why's, the youngest Schnee was happier than she'd ever been, feeling lighter than a feather yet so grounded and full of the same purity as the pool. It kept her aware of everything but at the same time, caused a high she would never forget. And neither would her partner as the look in her eyes and the expression on her face told the white-haired girl Ruby was feeling exactly the same things she was.

A thought quickly passed through her mind and seemingly, Ruby had thought the same thing. Maybe it was how they were connected but everything she thought, her partner thought.
The pair stood slowly, continuing to gaze at each other and keeping their hands connected.

Yang, Blake, Winter and Alexander watched in fascination only to have to cover their eyes as the pair made their way into the Pool of Purity. The light it was giving off became brighter the closer they came to it.

Alex stepped forward to stop them, knowing Ruby wouldn't survive a venture into the pool., whether she was connected to Weiss or not.
He had to stop them before Ruby entered the pool! He took another step forward, as did the others in the room, reading the situation as it was.

"Ruby, don't!" Yang attempted to stall the pair, only to be ignored.

Weiss was now in the pool, encouraging her partner to follow. The young faunus moved forwards as Alexander reached a hand out to stop her but it was too late. The young Reaper's foot was already in the pool, her other one following right after.

The pair continued into the pool but to Alex's surprise, no screams of pain erupted from the young faunus. A smile graced her lips instead as the ethereal light of the pool and Weiss combined.
