A/N: Heeeey guysss.

For this Chapter, I've decided not to write out a summary of the chapter. You're gonna have to read it to find out what's gonna happen XP

I hope you enjoy the new chapter. (Even though it's been written for some time now)
On a side note: I'd like to thank ShovelSans (from AO3 and the CRAU discord server) for the help in writing the fight scene. I did edit it and change it to how I envisioned but kept most of it the same. I also decided to extend it a little. I do hope you're happy with the end result of what we both did. :D

This was it. This was how she was going to die. Through no fault of her own, Weiss had finally pierced her flesh with one quick thrust she had no way to avoid.
Her aura was spent with nothing in reserve, the power she'd had during the fight with Whitely was nowhere to be seen or heard of. It had once more become dormant. No matter how much she begged for help inside herself, the being she knew was there didn't respond; didn't so much as make a peep.

The moment she lost her footing, the young Reaper knew it was all over for her and as Adam swung his sword down on her right leg just below the knee, she couldn't stop the blood curdling scream from escaping her throat.

Her vision swam from the blood she'd already lost as well as the agony radiating through her, for once, fragile body.
Another continuous, heart shattering scream left her the moment the Minotaur's crimson covered blade cut through the flesh of her left leg above the knee. There was nothing she could do but to scream and fight to stay conscious. It was a losing battle.

Through the pain, the tears and the seemingly endless torrent of blood leaving her, her blurry eyes allowed her to momentarily see the malicious but victorious smirk on the bull faunus' face.
If she survived, and that was a very big if, that image would forever be burned into her memory, tormenting her for eternity.
She had the vague feeling that the torment would in fact follow her to the afterlife, haunting her in every possible way it could.

As black spots appeared in her vision and death began its claim on her, the broken Reaper was only just able to catch a glimpse of a blood covered blade making its final, lethal descent. Only for her vision to be invaded by the pure white hair and light blue dress of her partner.

It took all she could of her remaining strength to dazedly witness the bull faunus' sword come to a halt in the grip of Weiss' hand.
Finally, she realised, she could stop fighting for a while and let Weiss take care of it all. She could let go.

The last thing the young faunus would remember was the beautiful, pure white light beginning to consume the white-haired girl and so, she finally let go and allowed death to claim her.

"Schnee! What do you think you're doing!? I told you to stay back!" Adam yelled furiously as he yanked his blade from Weiss' grip.
At his words, a smile crept upon the girl's face as she flourished her blade, placing it pointing upwards in front of her face.

"Answer me! What do you think you're doing!?" Once more, the question remained unanswered, and soon enough, realisation dawned on the bull faunus. His attempt to break into the Schnee's mind failed and yet, he persisted as she resisted with little to no effort.

"Schnee!" He screamed, simultaneously swinging his sword at her throat.

As fast as lightning, a glowing rapier swung out to meet the crimson blade, easily and effortlessly parrying it out of harm's way. Adam froze from the shock at the speed the young Schnee had just demonstrated, his eyes growing wide as the glow pulsed and grew brighter than ever around the girl's body.

"You are mistaken in your assumption that I am the girl you know as Weiss Schnee." The white-haired girl spoke at last, her voice further shocking the faunus from the way it sounded.
"You are also mistaken in your assumption that you have the ability to defeat me. Gravely so." She added in the same voice, conveying the power she possessed with just her tone.
