Chapter Four
Why was I here again?
Addison grinned at me flashing her teeth before running her fingers through her beachy blonde locks her blue eyes the color of dirty ocean water sparkled like poor quality gemstones, lackluster and full of impurities.
Maybe Kylie is right, and I should try with Addison, at least she wants a relationship.
The camera equipment on the cart pushed against me if I didn't put enough pressure against it as we walked through the art deco lobby which was all polished brass, black marble, and antique wood carved in intricate patterns. Even the high vaulted ceiling sported carefully painted geometric patterns. Slight smell of basement aside I loved the Harcourt Manor, it was the nicest hotel in walking distance of the college campus.
"I can't believe I'm about to take Sadie Collier's picture," Addison shook her head before smoothing the black vest she wore over her white t-shirt and tiny neon green micro mini skirt. "Is she really that scary?"
Swallowing as I relived the first moment as I stepped into her office, I shrugged.
"She's... intimidating, enthralling, and intoxicating. There's something about her that commands a room and makes you feel helpless to do anything besides her bidding. She's a goddess and she knows it so we mortals are nothing to her. Things to command and toys to play with for her amusement." I smirked a bit to myself as I looked up at the little black square that held the number floor we were on. Deep inside I wanted to shove the camera equipment cart down the hall and run back to my apartment but at the same time, I longed to be there in the hopes that we'd have another encounter and I'd let myself give in to her.
"Sounds intense," I jumped at Addison's voice having forgotten she was there. "I love how you describe things. Like one of the old poets," Addison flattered me before biting her bottom lip. "A modern-day Keats or Shelley." I smiled at the comparison, but I knew what it was, she had a crush on me. It took me a while to see it, but Kylie and Steve helped me make sense of why she was acting the way she was. I'd been blind to it until it was too late. The doors opened on the fourth floor revealing Steve in a blue button-down with his sleeves rolled up to his elbows.
"Why are you guys late?" Steve fumed, "You know she has very limited time!" He wasn't his usual happy and all too pervy self which meant he probably encountered Sadie already.
"Sorry, Steve. The latch on the hatch of my SUV is sticking now. It's a whole thing." Addison explained as she started walking. Ahead Steve lulled his head to the side and sighed heavily.
"Good thing this is your last assignment Addison because this is amateur shit!" Steve raged before speed walking down the hall and disappearing through the double doors. Addison followed after him and I dragged my feet taking my steps down the hall as slow as I could within reason. By the time I reached the door they would have sorted out their moods and I could drop off the lights and backdrop before disappearing. Not that I had anything important to do but I didn't know if I trusted myself around her.
Swallowing I opened the door and discovered the conference room D wasn't exactly a conference room but more like a lecture hall. In my mind when I heard the word conference room, I imagined tiny rooms with scarcely enough space for a table and chairs, but this was spacious enough to have a slight echo as Addison walked around with her light meter and Steve paced looking moments from a heart attack.
Without saying anything Addison took the cart from me and started unpacking everything. Steve got on the phone and started talking as I wrapped my arms around myself powerless to leave when I knew she was so close. Then Sadie walked through the room with her bodyguard following like a deadly lumbering shadow. Her platinum blonde locks fell in loose careful curls to her waist and every iota of makeup on her face highlighted her ethereal beauty. As those drowning dark eyes fell on me, I was helpless against the memory of the heat of her body against mine and the scent of her that flooded my nostrils though she was yards away. My body ached for her, and I had to shift in my chair as my pants grew tight from the memory of her mouth on mine and her hand resting against my cock. She shook everyone's hand and exchanged pleasantries before walking to stand by the backdrop uninstructed and standing on her mark. Again, she commanded the room, and all Addison could do was stare and snap photos.
